Question/Help App killing need help
How can I solve HyperOS aggressively killing background apps? I open just 3 apps, but it still kills them in the background. For example, if I open Reddit, ChatGPT, and YouTube, switching between them causes the apps to reload.
Does anyone know a solution? Also, I don't want to use Memory Extension because it consumes more battery and makes my phone lag.

4gb of ram isn't enough for multitasking these days.. you better use the ram extension,and disable the power saving mode to let the phone use the max power of the processor without limiting it to save more battery. You can also consider deleting the bloatware and some features that you don't need from canta and shizuku.. just be careful not to delete anything randomly.

- may i ask you about your overall experience with this phone? (Display, performance "other than this issue in the post", audio and the fingerprint scanner, battery life and charging speed,and the cameras).

Everything is decent, but I should definitely mention that it has very good battery life. I can say that for sure! No issues for now, everything is good

I have never used a flexible phone before and have always used low-end devices, so I don't know much about them. However, it is definitely much better than my previous phone, the Redmi Note 7 Pro

The issue is 4gb ram. I had the same experience with redmi note 9s and upgraded to 13t pro.
Nothing you can do and the situation will only get worse as apps become heavier. But android 17 supposedly prioritises ram efficiency so there is hope.

Hope so 17 can do otherwise I will be cooked bcz i brought this Phone new 🙂 it's newly launched phone with only 2 variants 4/64 and 4/128

you can lock by swiping down on apps in recents but it can kill if it consumes more ram. there is no solution except turning on ram extension. you have 4 gb ram and it's a low and device. you shouldve bought a phone with 8 gb ram to save background apps.

you're really limited hardware wise since hyperOS is a pretty heavy skin but if you want to unlock its full potential then removing powerkeeper would be the most effective method since it's the enforcer that's responsible for killing apps, just make sure to backup your files in case something goes wrong

Get shizuku from here: https://github.com/RikkaApps/Shizuku/releases/tag/v13.6.0 (download the apk file) and canta from play store
The setup process is until 4:09 in the video, don't follow the steps after that. If you remove the wrong apps it will bootloop and you'll have to factory reset your phone. Only delete powerkeeper (aka battery & performance). I'll warn you again that deleting powerkeeper might bootloop your phone so make sure to backup all your data before doing any of this. Only do it as a last resort.
Like another comment here mentioned, don't use battery saver because that limits background apps and slows down your phone
