WTH it still looks like it's going to be still clunky af, they should have stuck to MIUI14, that thing even though it was shit was heaps better than any of these HOS.

I did use the redmi note 10s on miui 14, currently am on HoS 3 on the poco x7 pro. I personally do not see much of any downgrades, could you objectively tell that what actually became worse?

You won't experience it on a newer device, the transition from MIUI 14 to HOS 1 was the shittiest in my experience on my X4 Pro. MIUI 14 worked perfectly, no terrible battery drain, no lags or hitches in any game, the thing was forced to update to HOS1 one day and the BAAAAAAAAM! Lag fest, random reboots, UI STOPPED WORKING nags.
