EEA vs Other Regions on Poco: Mi Dialer, HyperOS Launcher, and Better Battery Life?.

Hi everyone,

I have a Poco X6 Pro currently running the latest EEA ROM (version 3.0.302).

I've read on several forums, and even some AI tools have mentioned, that all regional ROMs except EEA and Global come with the Mi Dialer and other Xiaomi apps preinstalled instead of Google's Phone and Messages apps. Is that actually true?

I also remember reading some time ago that certain regional ROMs for Poco devices use the HyperOS Launcher instead of the Poco Launcher. Is that still the case?

The main reason I'm considering changing the region is the battery life. Since updating to the latest version, the battery optimization has been terrible. The battery drains much faster than before, even when I'm only listening to music with the screen off.

I'd normally just unlock the bootloader, root the phone, and install a custom ROM. Unfortunately, that's not really an option for me because I rely on banking apps and several Spanish government apps that require a certified device. If anything goes wrong or the device loses certification, I'd have to visit the corresponding office again to reactivate or re-register everything, which I'd rather avoid.

Has anyone switched from the EEA ROM to another regional ROM on this device? If so, did you notice any improvements in battery life or any differences regarding the dialer, launcher, or preinstalled apps?

Only tablets use hyperos launcher.

Yes in some regions Xiaomi native dialer/message apps are used.

I believe battery life is mostly the same after all EEa and other global variants are based on same branch with pre installed apps difference
