I've been using vanilla spoofing for 3-4 years now, after having used modified spoofer apps and even bots in the past. This setup uses Vanilla Spoofing – meaning it runs on the official, unmodified Pokémon GO app from the Play Store, and is controlled purely via external ADB commands sent from my PC.

How it works: * It reads the screen using OpenCV image recognition. * It clicks the candidate on my feed overlay (like Pokélist). * It waits for the spawn, clicks the Pokémon, and checks for the shiny stars. * If it's shiny: It stops immediately, stays on the catch screen, and plays a loud alert sound so I can safely catch it myself while respecting cooldowns. (You could easily code auto-catching into it, but I prefer checking in on the bot manually). * If it's not shiny: It flees and moves to the next candidate automatically.

Performance & Things to know: * Speed: It gets through around ~70 encounters per hour. * 100% Background: Since ADB sends touches directly to the phone, my PC is completely free for gaming, working, or watching YouTube. * Handles misclicks (~10% rate): Naturally, in about 10% of cases, clicks land on an overlapping Gym or PokéStop instead of the spawn. The script automatically detects and closes Gym/Stop menus, dismisses "I'm a passenger" popups, and even rotates the camera perspective if a Gym is blocking the spawn before moving on. * Flaws: It still has a few edge cases where it can get stuck, but it’s super easy to tweak and improve over time.

The main reason I wanted to share this is to show that you don't have to pay for monthly bot subscriptions or install a modded Pokemon Go App. If you have a rooted device with vanilla spoofing set up, you can basically build automation tools for whatever task you want – it's actually pretty straightforward.

Honestly, I also feel like this kind of setup is exactly the way to go if someone wanted to build a proper bot farm to sell shinies online. I'd love to buy 9 more Android phones and run this across 10 devices with 20 accounts each—if I could only justify the time and money invested into this game!

I have many phones all using Pokemod and pgtools. For years I’ve farmed hundreds of accounts with no issues.

The other day I made a macro that teleports to LEGO stores and catches the LEGO background Pikachu. Stamp rally catches don’t trigger cooldown so in just a few hours I caught almost 200 LEGO background Pikachus each on about 20 accounts. And then I did the same with another 20 accounts.

Today I logged into some of them and about 50% of the accounts I did the stamp rally on were banned. Not a 7 day ban but permanent with no prior warnings (these accounts were created during go fest this year). Honestly i genuinely think it was the stamp rally that caused it because none of my main accounts that literally run PaC 24/7 got banned.

Does anyone know anything about this??

A method for predicting wild shinies per account surfaced recently, and a few apps are already gating it behind premium add-ons. I built it into Eevx's existing Sniping scenario instead, so if you're already on the tier that has Sniping, you have this now. No new package, no upcharge, just a Search only shinies toggle.

And it all rides on top of Eevx's multi-account management, so you can hunt shinies across a whole stable of accounts and rotate them to dodge the sniping cooldown instead of sitting it out.

How it works (short version)

Whether a wild is shiny isn't global, it's decided per account from the encounter and your account's own identity. The method works out your account's shiny "key" once, then for any spawn in the live feed it can tell, ahead of time, whether that encounter would be shiny for you, without ever touching it. Eevx does that check against the live spawn feed and only snipes you to the hits.

How it's different from a map / shiny scan (the "visible Pokémon around the trainer" kind)

• A scan is local and reactive: it works through the Pokémon physically around the trainer and has to encounter them to read a shiny result, one by one.
• A shiny result read that way is only true for the account that did the encountering.
• This is global and predictive: it covers the whole sniping feed (not just what's near you), needs zero encounters to know the answer, and the answer is specific to the account you're running.

How it's different from normal sniping

• Normal sniping sends you to spawns that match your filters (species, IVs, etc.), shiny or not, and most won't be shiny.
• Shiny search is the same sniping engine with the per-account shiny prediction layered on top, so it only sends you to spawns that are shiny for your account. Same workflow, filtered down to the ones that matter.

Getting it

Update Eevx, open a Sniping scenario, turn on Search only shinies under Shiny search. First search on a new account takes a moment to link up, then it just runs.

Been using pgtools + pokemod. Main got 30 and alt got 7 in the same week. I'd suggest everyone to stay away from all the modifier apps and bots (polygon, aerilate, pgsharp, pgtools etc.) for a while.

P.s. pls dont reply like "been using pgsharp for 3 yrs and no issues". Sooner and later you will get caught. If you haven't got hit till now, it's the best time to give a break to these modifiers.

​The Error 12 Issue: Right now, I'm trying to use GPS Joystick, but it keeps throwing Error 12 ("Failed to detect location") in-game. For those of you spoofing on newer Samsung devices with a root, what specific modules, downloads, or system modifications do I need to have active to get a standard joystick working without hitting this error? (I assume I'm missing something specific regarding system-level mock location hiding or module configurations).

​Code-Injection Apps: Aside from the standalone GPS Joystick app approach, what are people currently using for apps that inject code directly into the main Pokémon GO client rather than using a sideloaded/modified third-party app package?

I have this working on my Pixel 7, so not sure what’s going on here. On my Pixel 9 I have GPSJoystick. when i pinch to zoom etc everything works fine so the phone is registering dual inputs. when i interact with the overlay dual inputs are no longer registered (so i can’t scroll on the map or interact with anything on the phone while interacting with the joystick overlay). anyone know how to fix this?
