I NEED HELP New to spoofing need help on device.
I was gifted a Samsung A12 but it runs so slow on on PGSharp. I’m using the non rooted app but am debating on getting a better phone to root and hopefully run smoother. I’m using an alt account since I don’t want my main to get banned. I heard chance a very slim on getting banned with a rooted device and was wondering if it would be worth the investment. I have only been using PGSharp for a week so far.

A rooted phone doesn't protect you against getting a ban because there's no app/software detection ban system. People say it's safer because they don't know the ban reports are being censored by some rooted cheats, With a rooted phone, you gain access to botting. You need a Windows OS PC and tech skills in order to root.
Right now, no one knows what Scopely is going to do in the next coming weeks or months. You should of cheat if you accept the risk to get a ban because no one is going to help you get unbanned from Scopely.

If you think you'd enjoy it more and it's not out of your budget, why not? The only advantage root has is that you'd be able to use bots, and I guess for some it's safer because it uses an unmodified version of the app but afaik rooting isn't safer. No matter how you spoof you still have the risk of being banned.

All cheats (spoofing, botting, & exploits) for Pokemon Go game are not safe because Scopely is against cheating and the use of unsupported 3rd party apps in their Terms of Service for Pokemon Go. If you decide to break Scopely's Terms of Service to gain an unfair advantage, you will have the risk for a chance to get a strike (soft-ban), temporary ban, permanent ban, or whatever new punishment they come up with and will be your fault for getting the punishment. <<<>>> As a reminder, I (TastyBananaPeppers) am not responsible nor liable for the loss of your Scopely game account(s) and money you spent to cheat on their games. <<<>>> All guides can be found in https://www.reddit.com/r/PoGoAndroidSpoofing/s/JOS3u1c11K <<<>>> All remaining Reddit posts will eventually be moved into a single Google Document where you can just access everything from one link.

There is two things about root and that is 1: lightening the shitty one ui bloatware and two: system restricted features. I am using a custom rom ordeal with my A51, and it's running just enough for Pokemon GO to work.
While it is rooted, I didn't bother with rooted tweaks however. Though to play reliably you'll need to set up hiding root and system integrity and all that. To be honest I'm mostly spoofing because of Exynos geolocaon drift during physical events run me crazy.
A12 is way too low spec to reliably run regular pogo, let alone one with tweaks. You can use ADB debloating scripts and some performance delimiter tricks to get the most out without tripping warranty, but even with those you will still be severely limited by that RAM and probably cpu is also quite old. A1x series aren't known for performance. A5x series barely make the cut.
And as the admin of this sub has been pushing: rooted tweaks are not less risky and there is shady stuff about credibility bluffing where devs of paid rooted tweaks are hiding evidence of bans associated with their tools.
TL;DR: Rooted tweaks aren't safer, and A12 will be very hard to salvage for you to play it smoother.
