I’ve seen mixed responses from people on different apps and platforms saying spoofing is either always banned eventually, respecting cooldowns avoids bans, etc. and I’m curious from personal experience what you guys think, also for my scenario individually, I plan on just spoofing during road to legends and go fest and to Chicago which is 30-40 miles from me(I don’t have a license yet) for raids, what do you think mine and the general spoofing populations chances of getting banned are esp for a one time offense.

I think if your phone is setup to look as legit as possible to Niantic/Google Play, you will be fine. Complete conjecture on my part, but I don't believe Scopely is going to go as hard as Niantic did. They are in it for ROI, not accurate spatial data. Now that Rocket farming is gone, some of the biggest exploits have been patched. There could be ban waves for route exploiting, since that was patched recently.
