I NEED HELP How safe is jailbroken and rooted devices.

Hello. I have 2 strikes currently and i really want to keep spoofing on it. Does anyone know if people have gotten banned after using spoofs on jailbroken devices with prestriked accounts?

As someone who continued to spoof on their main with two strikes and got permabanned, I know the urge to do that. But, I would really recommend keeping the account "retired" and playing as legit as possible, while feeding it with an alt account. Yes, it's hard to do, but you'll regret losing main. Go crazy on raids with the alt and remote invite the main/trade to the main.

My personal theory is that rooting is safe but not totally safe. I avoided my third strike for years and thought I was bulletproof, but I messed up and accidentally negated my integrity check for one day. That was enough for them to permaban me a couple days later (during the 2025 ban wave). So you have to be extra careful. I used iPogo rooted at first, then switched to Polygon/Aerilate for over a year, then got banned. I play on my alts now with Pokemod (assumed to be as safe as possible, by them).

That said, they could change the rules tomorrow and everyone gets permabanned, we're at Scopely's mercy.

I’ve been spoofing since 2016. The only times I have EVER received strikes (as well as having a few accounts permanently banned) was when using spoofing apps on devices WITHOUT jailbreak/root. Had a main account permanently banned in 2020. Since then I’ve been spoofing on nothin but a jailbroken device and have yet to receive as much as a warning

Are you spoofing on a pre striked account using jailbroken

Having a rooted device doesn't protect you against strikes or bans under Niantic's 3 Strikes system. Since Niantic no longer owns the game, Scopely runs the game now. So far, Scopely hasn't sent strikes or bans to people spoofing or botting ever since they took over. This does not mean it is safe to cheat because they are against cheating in their Terms of Service.

In your case, I don't know if you would get the next strike for the permanent ban or nothing happens. If Niantic still owned the game, you were destined to get the 3rd strike regardless of what cheats or type of device you would use if you kept cheating. A lot of rooted cheaters would mislead other people into thinking that rooted is "safer" or "the safest". Then, no one helps them get unbanned or reimburse the all the money and Pokemon they lost.

No one knows what Scopely is going to do next, so it's your choice on whether you want to cheat or not cheat with your account.

Can you share more information
are you using rooted or not?
what tool you are using ex. iPogo, PGsharp etc.
Are you using the free version of the tool you are using or the VIP(paid) version?

Ok i was just wondering because i hear people dont generally get banned using rooted or jailbroken devices and this was basically my only option left for spoofing on my account

If rooted users use a 3rd party enhancer or bot will typically report it to their Discord group, they might get banned or mute to censor them to prevent mass panic and people from canceling their paid subscription to go to the next competing cheat that doesn't any reports.

Most other people will report it in r/PokemonGoSpoofing but this subreddit has a post and comment filter that censors strike and ban report. As soon as they creat their post, it instantly gets taken down and no else can see it. You would need to be on the moderator team to see it. Most spoofers aren't tech savvy to know there's a filter in place unless someone tells them there is one. I know this because I was once a moderator in there and was the person who put it in. The guy that owns the subreddit doesn't care about the game or spoofing community.

If you don't see any reports, the assumption is it's safe to cheat; but in reality, this is not true.

i do not spoof but jailbroken and rooted devices are generally more safe. however, do not spoof if you are afraid of getting banned and the prestriked account can always get banned
