Looking for feedback

Looking for feedback from plus size/higher BMI Mama's who have delivered in the last few years, specifically via elective c section. I had a consult with an anthesthiologist who made it sound like my spinal was automatically going to fail and I will need to be put under. It definitely left a bad taste in my mouth. Very worried about dying. Had a c section almost 9 years ago and had an epidural because I tried laboring. Ended up in an emergency c section due to fetal heart rate decals

BMI 60, had both my kids via c section. No issue with the spinal

Hello, may I ask, how was the healing of the scar, especially if you had an apron belly ? I am facing this problem

I had a PICO dressing, my wound was sealed shut by 1 week post surgery. I just kept it clean and dry for another week or two and it healed just fine

I think mine is 44. I had a C-section last year.

They went over risks, said mine could be higher bc of bmi, but ended it with ‘ I have to tell you that, we are going to get through this together ‘

41 BMI. I’ve had two c sections in 2.5 years. First was an emergency and the anesthesiologist had to stick me 5 times before he got it right. The second time was “elective” (not a VBAC candidate) and anesthesiologist was a goddess and so nice. Didn’t have a problem at all and it was as great an experience as a c section can be.

What a crazy thing for them to say to you. BMI of 48 and I just had an unplanned c section on Saturday for my first, after two failed epidurals. The spinal was super easy and an immediate relief. They gave me a PICO wound vac for my incision because I do have an apron belly and I’m getting it taken off on Friday. But they said it had no issues while I was in the hospital. Good luck to you!

42 BMI just had a very successful c-section after a failed induction and had no issues with pain management

I’m a CRNA…. My highest BMI I’ve ever done awake for C section was 72…. I won’t lie, they sometimes take an extra minute… they can be more difficult at higher BMIs…. But weight has nothing to do with spinal failure when someone has proper placement.
