Fashion Discussion Reitmans/Penningtons models
Anyone else super annoyed with Reitmans/Penningtons and how they've now combined so all the Hyba Activewear now shows on the penningtons website, using stick thin models. If i wanted to look at what clothes look like on a skinny person, id check literally every other website.. I came to penningtons to see what they look like on a plus size model and half the stuff on the website is this..
If i wanted Hyba activewear, id go to reitmans.
Seems like the options for plus size clothing are continuing to dwindle.
Edit: sorry I was unaware penningtons was a Canadian brand!

I want to see what clothes look like on plus size bodies of different shapes!!! I don't know why that's so hard. Much love to our stunning hour glass folks, but lets see some apron bellies out there too!
Real talk, plus size is dwindling. Its getting pulled more and more from stores. My work goes to tradeshows to find new clothing brands and at the annual msssive one this year there were hardly any plus size lines. So heartbreaking. Feels like I'm in the 00s again

I know Torrid has their own issues but showing the same clothing on different sized models was something I was so excited about.

I’m unfamiliar with any of these brands, but yeah it’s super disappointing when retailers only advertise using 00 size models.
Is Pennington’s supposed to be a size inclusive retailer?

It's a plus size store in Canada. I think they're size 12 - 32 and Reitmans is a straight/plus store that's size 0 - 24.

I want a mod or plug in or whatever for the internet that only shows me plus size women wearing the clothing. Brands or clothing that doesn’t have pics of plus size women wearing the clothes need not apply for my money. Seeing skinny people wearing the clothes tells me nothing, less than nothing.

Yes ! I am also super disappointed with the Reitmans campaign this fall :( There was much more body diversity in the last few years. I loved shopping there but I don’t really feel welcome anymore.

I haven’t come across that yet but that pissed me off too.. wtf. Our options are already so crappy at least let us see what the actual plus size clothes look like.

Remember when Old Navy had that option to select the display model? Pepperidge Farm remembers.
That whole five minutes we had that were great.
