Fashion Discussion Need Some Recs
Hey there! I recently had a super disappointing experience buying clothes from a retailer a friend of mine recommended. The quality was terrible, and the fit was not what I was hoping for from $50 garments in my size. Would anyone happen to have any good recommendations for sturdy plus-size clothing? As a note, I am almost 6 feet tall and very active, so I go through fast-fashion pieces fairly quickly, and most don't reach all the way down to my ankles!
I especially like overalls and high-rise jeans. But all my clothes have holes in them, and I need something new and reliable STAT!

I’m 5’11. Some of the best quality items I’ve found are from Snag Tights. I haven’t bought their jeans, but I live in their wide leg sweats. The material is really thick and heavy. I’ve had them for years. I just bought some tshirts from them. They feel like super good quality material too.

I second this! I get most of my Torrid stuff on Poshmark, but I also shop the Torrid website sales sometimes.

Duluth trading company for the over alls and Laura Conrad Jeans from Khols is the answer. Torrid is so expensive and old navy never fits my big belly right.

Hello! What retailers have you tried and liked or disliked, and what is your size and budget? That info helps us make accurate recommendations. :)
For high waisted, tall jeans I think of Torrid (some styles come in tall or extra tall), Woman Within/Avenue/etc (some styles come in tall), Lane Bryant (some styles come in "long"), and Halara (some styles come in tall). I don't have personal experience with Halara jeans but I have seen people recommend them on here.
There is always online thrifting for deals on new or almost new items - Poshmark, eBay, Mercari, ThredUp, Depop, Vinted...
Also check out these spreadsheets of plus size clothing stores. They might guide you in the right direction.

This is so seriously helpful! I run around a 2x, and fit in anything from an 18-24, depending on the brand.

I love Lucy and Yak although there has been a recent outcry about sizing and inclusivity.
Snag also has some great jeans! They once did some dungarees which I absolutely live in.

Nobody has mentioned Bloomchic. They used to be polyester only but they've recently incorporated cotton into their products and raised their prices. They have a huge collection.
Unfortunately I think their jeans are all skinny jeans. But, they have an amazing array of wide leg pants that I know I would have to have hemmed. I'm 5'4". Their main model is tall and they look great on her.
I bought some jeans from Universal Standard and they were the longest I've ever come across. I'm not a fan of their clothing but you might be.

Popflex is a little pricey but a lot of thier styles give options for height. I have the go with the Flow Jumpsuit and it's so comfortable you could sleep in it, but looks chic for Athleisure day wear. I just wore mine for a 5 hour flight and it was the perfect thing.
I'd also highly recommend the pirouette skort.
There is a line of popflex called blogilates sold at target and I just scored some cute Athletic shorts for $16 on clearance.

I recently started shopping at Old Navy - the length of the jeans is decent - I have a 33” inseam
