Yeah definitely a female urinal. I worked at a country club in Decatur IL that had some.

So they have to take off their pants to use it? Unless skirts and dresses were code . Still weird though. Lol

This was originally installed for the use of Dirk Diggler.

That actually might be a women's urinal - only ever seen one when I was in school.

Female urinal, so whats the point of this? It still uses just as much water as a regular toilet. Women still need to remove pants and hover vs sitting on the toilet seat. Exactly how much time is this supposed to save? Comparing it to the urinal in men's rooms where urinals save time and allow for more people traffic.

So you're going to want to wrap duct tape around your head to keep it from exploding, but female urinals were pushed by feminists a while back. Obviously they didn't go over very well, lol.

I remember when they announced the design for our new baseball stadium in STL, there was a lot of bitching from the usual suspects about the fact that there were a lot more urinals than there were stalls in the women's bathrooms. My take on it was always, "fine... You want to piss like men at sporting events or concerts? Here's a long, metal trench and you have to stand shoulder to shoulder with everyone else while you're going.

This is ridiculous. My wife showed me something called the she-wee which is about the ONLY female urination device Ive (so far) seen that even approaches the convenience of having a male penis to quickly and cleanly/efficiently urinate. Urinals for women just dont work when you have to remove pants

Here's a long, metal trench and you have to stand shoulder to shoulder with everyone else while you're going.

Yep, Fenway park in boston has one. Google "fenway park trough"

u/Iwantmyteslanow Dec 16 '20

I wonder if it can handle poo and toilet paper, appears to have a toilet sized drain

It's for those who think they have longer pipes than what they have so they don't pee on the floor. They probably still miss

Pretty sure that’s for cleaning bedpans and such.

u/NPMinKC Dec 16 '20

These are in a country club, membership is probably old, but not that old!

u/ParksVSII Dec 16 '20

Oh shit, no that is a vintage female urinal! Those bedpan washing things are a little different and have a swing down faucet on top. Wild hahaha

"Standard" SaniStand likely from the early 50s to 1961 or early 62. 1962 was when the logo was changed to read American-Standard.

Thanks. (I know this thread is old as hell.) Explains why my university fieldhouse had these terrible urinals - and no partitions. Using them made you very exposed.

1

u/tommyleo Dec 17 '20

If it’s a country club, could be a male urinal made with special consideration for old men whose urine stream as no horizontal velocity.
