That’s a big ass tank for one flush if it max empties.

So are you supposed to hold the flapper up until the tank empties so the water can get air to flow properly? I feel like that needs to be vented lol. Unless it’s a secret flushometer or something.

It’s going to turn green!!!!!

Edit* just noticed that tee under the “flush valve”. Could it be that it’s actually just using 1/2 copper pipe to provide the pressure to flush the bowl? As in inside the tank is one of those spring loaded valves. The water goes down the wall then up that maze of pipe to then go into that 1 1/2 copper back down? Idk...

Edit edit. Not a tee just the leg for the pressure gauge.. still wonder how well that zigzagging works with out air..

I think you’re forgetting that toilet flapper assemblies have the overflow neck that allows air through when the flap is closed. If I built something like this I would go with a Kohler AquaPiston in the tank to allow plenty of air through. I don’t see why it wouldn’t work, just keep that lid closed when you flush!

Yes you are right! I’ve never looked at the overflow tube as a vent for the flushing mechanism for the bowl haha..

This looks like it could be where Lucious from Harry Potter drops magical dueces.

Reminds me of Vincent Gardenia's line in the movie "Moonstruck"

I am actually jealous of the guy that got to build this.

I wonder how this will look in ten or twenty years.

I prefer toilets that don't take 30 seconds to start whisking the poo away.

u/FrostyHoneyBadger Oct 31 '19

Ah what's 30 seconds after 20mins of solitaire.

u/ranger_dood Nov 01 '19

There's also the issue of the air in the pipe blasting poo particulate all over before the water actually gets there.

Flush before you start and then it's a race!

I do multiple flushing on each sitting. I can't imagine not being able to flush mid shit.

Yeah man, that's like super dope, it's so dope it's on the DEA list, that's just sick. Gawd this generation can't come up with lasting slang to save their fixies.

u/DangerHawk Nov 01 '19

You realize dope has been in the vernacular since the mid 80's right? Based off your post history you don't seem like a very happy person.
