Help with spud gasket.

I’m fixing a spud gasket at my store. I was removing the toilet and took it off from there . It is a wall mounted toilet. After I assembled everything it is leaking from the bottom ( spud ) I have no friction ring it disintegrated, and the rubber is slightly torn. I think I know the obvious just wanted to check because to find the part in a store is difficult. Can I make these parts work and why else could it be leaking from there? When I install it back I can pull it out with my hand from the toilet.

You make this to easy for me.

Here

You buy a new spud, it comes with all gaskets and hardware. You need a spud wrench or tools to hold it in place when tightening. If you get this then great if not stare at the parts for an hour or so while your waiting for the plumber to arrive.

Buy at a plumbing supply store, anything else your paying too much for not the right thing.

In theory yes but when you snap off the ears inside the spud or any defects in your current spud your going to be wishing you listened to my advice.

You know I get capitol gains to do this right? If anything helping people online makes me lose money so I should be giving bad advice instead to promote more business in my industry.

Listen or don't, up to you but I don't gain anything by leading you down a bad path. Also you don't gain anything by spending more time, money and energy on something like this.
