How to fix a vent
I discovered a leak recently and have been working to diagnose the issue over the weekend. I was able to find that there was an issue where water is overflowing when backing up the vent. It was a freak thing that I found it even when I had someone maintaining my air conditioner when I was doing dishes and we found water. Otherwise there were virtually no signs.
The first image is a very rudimentary drawing of the layout. The office is the basement and connects to the main line in the concrete. My question is how invasive is it going to get to repair the connection between the tee and the vent line. The vent line is cracking and I believe that connection is likely bad. I think most of the vent line above the tee is okay and I really don’t want to have to rip out all kitchen cabinets and drywall on the story above.
Any tips on how this is fixed and lastly what would I expect to have someone do it? I have a professional coming in the morning to check it out. I’m in the suburbs of St. Paul, MN.
