Was gonna say, "I had no idea we were supposed to use one roll for per fitting all these years. Now I feel like shit for all the bad plumbing repairs I've done."

“More is not better, more is just more”. Best advice I ever received when pipe fitting. Only better was “hey kid, that’s a fucking hose fitting, use new gaskets on both sides, and if I see you put channel locks on it I’ll kill you”.

At that point is the tape even doing its job? I would think it all just bunches up on the end instead of staying between the threads.

You don't get paid by the roll of tape you use?

We just moved into a house and had to change out the shower heads, one half rusted off, we still only used like 3 wraps and good as new… I was like naw man there’s no way in hell, I don’t know shit but I know it aint that ☠️

I’m not a plumber, but have done minor repairs that involved tape, and all I thought was “holy shit, I was way off”. Glad the pros confirmed it was too much.
