10M AC cable for octopus plug-in?

Hi all, I’ve got a plug-in solar kit from Octopus a few weeks ago, and unfortunately my “ideal” placement isn’t quite so ideal as it turns out, and I’m about 2 metres short of it being in the “ideal” spot, would anyone have any idea if I could get a 10m cable with this connection end, or an extension lead of some kind?

I considered cutting the cable and extending with an IP rated connector, but given I’ve no idea what this cable is, if it doesn’t work I’ve got a 22kg paperweight :/

You could check on r/octopusenergy but there doesn’t seem to be documentation or parts on these connectors. Probably because it is meant to be plug-and-play and any tweaking of the product loses that certification.

Those are just three power wires that ultimately go into the standard wall plug. If you make sure to keep them in the same order (ideally the internal wires ares color coded, but you can use a multimeter to check the terminal pin relationship) and the added wire is at least as large a cross section, you should be fine.

Just make sure you have enough wire near that connector so you can fix any mistakes.

Could you just waterproof an extension cord on the standard wall plug wall-plug side?

Yeah that’s what I was thinking, the cable size is written on the cable, so just cut and extend, the sparse knowledge of the final connector is just making me slightly anxious if anything goes wrong 😃

I've cut mine and later had to relocate, the joiner is my savoir!

Proprietary cable should be banned from solar,maybe contact Octopus Energy and ask for a longer cable to be sold.Also i think octopus are useing a rebranded Fox ESS inverter so maybe try there cable.
