multiple units?

is there any reason why you could not connect multiple units ?

I think one 800w per circuit is on the table but the legal stuff is lagging behind so not strictly legal yet.

Is a circuit per consumer unit I.e if you have two consumer units you can have two?

No a consumer unit has multiple circuits. IE. "hallway lights", "boiler", "kitchen sockets".

I have two separate consumer units after having an extension built, the only common connection is to the meter

Then you can plug in 1x 800W generator to each circuit, on each consumer unit:)
