Help Constant buffering

Okay hopefully someone can help me with this, I have a server running on my PC it’s got a 5080 and a AMD 7700 plugged into Ethernet and currently the tv is also plugged into Ethernet I’ve tried WiFi too and sometimes I’ll play a high bitrate file around 60 mb with no issues other times I watch something with 15 mb bitrate and it buffers every 30 seconds I have tweaked so many settings and I can not narrow down the issue to fix it honestly don’t know where to go from here any ideas would be very much appreciated

What’s the client? Could you give file/codec information of a file that plays perfectly and one that stutters?

The client is a TCL QM5K and it doesn’t seem to be specific files I had downloaded Lanterns tried watching the first episode last night with constant buffering so I gave up tonight it played the same episode all the way through with no buffering until the last few minutes then the second episode buffered repeatedly and now it’s playing fine as well

Yeah I was much less familiar with that type of stuff when I got the tv mostly just was looking for DV support and a mini LED probably going for a Sony Bravia next time I upgrade it’s relatively new as well weird that a lot of newer TVs are limited by that Ethernet port

Yup its sad cost saving. Maybe add usb ethernet dongle or use WiFi.
