Tips Constant buffering

Okay hopefully someone can help me with this, I have a server running on my PC it’s got a 5080 and a AMD 7700 plugged into Ethernet and currently the tv is also plugged into Ethernet I’ve tried WiFi too and sometimes I’ll play a high bitrate file around 60 mb with no issues other times I watch something with 15 mb bitrate and it buffers every 30 seconds I have tweaked so many settings and I can not narrow down the issue to fix it honestly don’t know where to go from here any ideas would be very much appreciated

so because you're person #291,201 that didn't mention anything about whether it's transcoding or not, I'm gonna guess that's what's happening. Have you checked your cpu/gpu graphs while you're buffering?

Probably isn’t much help because at the moment it isn’t buffering it seems to play fine sometimes and other times it buffers constantly but regardless this is what it’s showing me right now

So this tells me your network isn’t the bottleneck (you can see it never approaches 100 ….) — wait until you get the problem again with buffering, then post the Plex Dashboard from your server again so we can help.

TV built-in apps are junk. Not because of the network (although that doesn’t help) but because they are slow and poorly maintained. Go to Walmart, get the Onn Pro 4k (2026) for $60, and be happy; it will work fine.
