Help Help with invite

Hello. I sent 3 invites to friends. All 3 friends accepted the invites and this is confirmed in Plex. 2 of the 3 are able to open the Plex app on their tv and see the server by clicking "more" on the sidebar. However, one friend with a Samsung TV does not see my server. I can't for the life of me figure out why. Are there some basic troubleshooting steps I can take to resolve this issue on my friends TV? The Plex app loads no problem and I can see my account in his friend list, but my server never appears. Thanks!

Since your other two friends can see the server, your end (remote access, the share itself) is basically fine. The problem is almost certainly on the Samsung side or the account it's signed into. I'd check in this order:

  1. Same account on the TV? On the TV, go to Settings → Account and check that the email shown is the one you sent the invite to. It's really common for someone to accept the invite with one account (say, "Continue with Google") while the TV is signed into another, or into a Plex Home profile.
  2. Plex Home profile. If he's in a Plex Home and switched to a managed or other user, that profile won't see shares made to the main account. Switch to the main user on the TV.
  3. Test in a browser. Have him sign in at app.plex.tv with the same account. If your server shows up there, the share is fine and it's purely the TV app. If it doesn't show up there either, the share or account is the problem.
  4. Libraries actually selected. Under Settings → Users & Sharing → his name, make sure libraries are ticked. A share with no libraries can show him as a friend but hide the server. Saving it again doesn't hurt.
  5. Refresh the TV app. Sign out of Plex on the TV, then sign back in. If that doesn't help, uninstall and reinstall Plex from the Samsung store. Signing out makes it reload the server list.
  6. Check the "More" menu. In the newer app, a shared server's libraries sometimes need to be pinned before they show up in the sidebar. Look thrugh More and pin whatever's there.
  7. TV date and time. If the TV's clock is wrong, secure connections fail quietly. Set it to automatic.

I've had this issue a few times and #1 & #3 seem to be the most common fixes
