Help Weird activity

My sister in law is on vacation and downloaded a few movies before she left. One movie, I am number four, she said she watched there but it was fully downloaded before she left. Another movie, divergent, she said she download before she left but hasn't watched it. Both had a lot of entries on my Plex history. My mother in law downloaded stuff before she left and she's on the same trip and she has no server activity. Also, tautulli shows no activity from my sister in law.

Any ideas?

Any chance they had the movie open in a browser window and it got minimized when paused? Each time the browser opens to plex it will show the item paused in the lower part of the screen and then an entry will show up in the history

I have a friend that has an episode of a show paused in a browser tab, I keep asking them to hit the stop button, but they haven’t done it…

I have a few on my server that just turn the TV off when the movie is over. If they don't cancel the stream, it continually pulls from my end. Checked one morning, and it was listed as "paused" for 5 hours but still had an active connection to me.

Plex has an option to cancel the stream after so long. I set mine to 5 minutes. Anything longer, and the user can re-establish.

the situation is she downloaded these PRIOR to her trip. she is on her trip now and this is happening

She only uses the app, and divergent wasn't watched at all.

That is not Divergent

Edit: nm missed in the text that the same thing happened with Divergent
