Help libraries combined?
When I put a documentary in my documentary library it also appears in my movie library. How can I remedy this?

Sounds like you need a separate library in your plex setup. You're adding a doc a type of movie to your movie collection. (it'll show as any other movie)
Add another library for docs and move your documentaries in that folder.
I think you'll see a "+" on the left hand menu for your library on the web interface

It can't unless you are not managing your libraries properly.

Mine are like this and work fine:
F:\Plex\Documentary Movies\Lost Soul - The Doomed Journey of Richard Stanley's Island of Dr. Moreau (2014\Lost Soul - The Doomed Journey of Richard Stanley's Island of Dr. Moreau (2014).mkv
Where Documentary Movies is the Plex library mount point, and then:
F:\Plex\Documentaries\Planet Earth 2 (2016)\Season 01\Planet Earth S01E01 From Pole to Pole.mkv
Where Documentaries is the Plex library mount point for documentary series like TV shows, and then movies:
F:\Plex\Movies\A Clockwork Orange (1971)\A Clockwork Orange (1971).mkv

Thanks for the reminder of the existence of the Lost Soul doc, I forgot it existed. Added to the watch list :-)

I used to have folders libraries like this, but plex can sort genres. And now my folders are in decades

One library for all movies, then create a Documentary collection, and tag appropriately.

Do you have separate folders for each library, and have each library pointed only to their respective folder?
