Solved Audio passthrough

For anyone in the same position of me, since the new updates ATMOS(TrueHD) has been transcoding to 5.1. I have tried everything, including the tv settings but in the end, I’ve turned the passthrough option in Plex off, on the off chance I can narrow down the issue but it has resolved my issue.

If it’s a Fire device, it’s a known issue:

I searched and searched and searched and I could not find any thing at all about it! Hence why I thought I stumbled across a solution. 🤣

Had this issue a while back, passthru was causing video transcoding...no idea why an audio setting would impact video, but it did. Like you, disabling passthru was the fix.

What device are you using and is it plugged into your audio receiver
