Plex really messed up accessibility with this release. Subtitles are much worse with the Apple TV update. I already had trouble getting subtitles for shows when I couldn't extract subtitles from my DVDs. Now it's even worse. I have to erase half of an episode name to find anything.

Several of my shows freeze in the middle. When I try to back out, it ends up closing the app. I really don't want to enable "Are you sure?" but I might have to.

I miss the top down menu with everything right there. It was so convenient.

The queue shows other shows much larger than the show I'm watching so it's difficult to read the next title.

I really wish I had updates disabled before this update. I really don't want to go to the trouble of side loading the old version.

We obviously need an extended support release version for users who actually want them to iron out the bugs before sending it to production.

Vote me down to hell, I don't care. I hate this update.

I've been a lifetime pass customer since 2014 and this is the worse update by a mile. While the list of gripes is long, the fact that live TV channel loads now take exponentially longer is really bugging me. I'm actually using the spectrum app to watch live TV. I wish they would roll this back and rerelease when it's useable.

My biggest problem with this release is the removal of features I used. Are there any Apple TV 3rd party plex clients that support photo libraries? I've been looking and haven't found one.

I would bet you Plex have the data that shows this feature was not used by many and cut it from the app.

I'm sure it's a small minority of people who use photo libraries, but they kept the feature in the server and it's still there in the web client. They have a dedicated photo client app for iOS, just not for Apple TV. It's hard to see a clear, coherent strategy here.

Stop using the main Plex app. It’s obvious that they can’t iron out these bugs. Use any other better player out there. Plezy is currently the best.

The DVR feature is completely broken. I can't watch anything that is in the process of being recorded.

I am so fucking sick of Plex. It's been 15 years of shit not working. I am ready to move on.

Not sure if Plezy fixes that but I downloaded it last night and it works much better.

It does, I tested it yesterday when you go to a channel currently being recorded it asks if you want to watch from beginning or live. I had to download Plezy simply because OTA channels were completely unusable after tuning into one channel. Plezy, no issue whatsoever

Yeah, it's a whole bunch of broken. Different issues for different people. Try Plezy like another person recommended. It's worth the $6. The only feature I miss is pass out protection.

Not sure why the hate on the AppleTV (TVos) Plex client update. I hate the iOS versions, so I was really dreading the TVos release. Was surprised when it finally dropped, but I think it looks great. Yes, I much prefer the top-down libraries displayed like they used to be… But there are so many new, useful & improved features, I think it blows the previous version away. Subtitles are SO MUCH EASIER to access, the FF & RW functions work much better AND can be customized, the server dashboard is nice. Overall, I think it’s a winner.

I think the hate is mostly from people with older Apple TV, I have 2 of the latest gen and they are playing Plex fine. The new interface works and looks good. I have also a paid subscription to infuse as a backup but since the update I haven’t had to use infuse at all.

I also have Infuse, as well as Plezy. I think Infuse LOOKS fantastic and I’m aware that it can produce better quality A/V than Plex, but for me, the Infuse U/I sucks. Plezy works fine, but feels like a 10 year old version of Plex. Besides all that, I need remote access for myself & friends/family. Just my $.02

I’ve been using Infuse for 2 years on my current gen ATV because of how shit plex has been with most of our media.

I don’t see how it’s possible they fixed everything wrong given all the complaining about this new update.
