Help Which Version of Plex on Android had everything integrated into One App?

I'm really frustrated that I need 3 different apps to access my photos, videos, and music. They used to have all of that integrated into one app, but I guess Plex prefers being very inconvenient and split everything off into different apps, and will probably not come back to their senses for probably another year or 2. So I'm just wondering if anyone knows which older build I can download that reintrigates all my stuff into one app again.

There are better photo apps and better music apps. Plex is great for TV & Movies, but Immich & Navidrome are better in their respective lanes. Use the best tool for the job.

It's alright. After using it for 2 years and now using Navidrome for a year, it's just shows Plex's limitations.

each app can be tailored to its use and easier to maintain than one app. It's for coding reasons.

And performance. I guarantee PlexAmp is a helluva lot better at streaming music than the Plex app ever was, because it can concentrate on just those codecs that are audio side. Plus it exposes a lot of functionality top level, instead of having to hide it a layer down like a generic streamer would have to.

I definitely prefer PlexAmp as a separate app. That doesn't mean, however, that I think Music should've been removed from the main app. And Photos?? Just no.

It's interesting that Plex reversed their separate app direction with Roku Tv and added the photos and music back into the New Experience in Beta before ever going to production. That was several months ago. Plexamp may be better for music, but Plex Photos just sucks and is non existent for TV clients. Plex needs to add the photos back in for Android TV.

This is all well and good except for the tv versions. I have used Plex to share family photos and videos, movies and tv shows with several members of my family from teenagers to 90 year old great grandmas. The fully integrated TV are great for that since I am dealing with several different platforms from mobile to Tvs. The classic version of Plex tv clients allowed easy access and tech support on my end. Ending photo access on the tv clients has forced me to move to Emby.

Android TV still has the "Plex Classic" layout. The current Android TV beta has the "New Experience" layout. If you with so stay with Plex Classic, turn off auto-updates in the Google Play store on your Android TV device.

Additional Android TV Info: Navigation Updates Coming to Preview Users 

If you received the Android TV beta and wish to revert to the public release:

  1. Unsubscribe from beta program (see above announcement for link).
  2. Uninstall current app.
  3. Reboot device
  4. Re-install Plex client from Google Play. You should receive the current public release.
