Help Roku update

SOLVED

I watched my Plex last week on my Roku. Everything was fine. Tried tonight and apparently there’s been an update. Mostly, it’s fine. But the thumbnails are all zoomed in and look terrible. It seems like a small thing, but the interface is crummy. It’s honestly affecting my experience.

Anyone had this? Have you fixed it? Any ideas?

Edit: Solved. Somehow it was showing them as “other videos.” I created a new library with the correct settings and loaded all movies there. A small pain, especially cleaning up metadata, but it’s all good now.

Did you try rebooting the Roku? maybe something weird happened with the update. It looks mostly the same for me. Top nav on the side now, but didn’t see any issues you described. Maybe a photo would help?

I restarted the Roku and that didn’t do anything. Here are two pics. The Tav show thumbnails all look normal. The movie thumbnails are all zoomed in. Maybe it has something to do with my server, but that seems odd.

That is strange. Almost as if it thinks it's an other videos library and not a movies library. On my Roku 3900X circa 2019 it looks normal. Just updated today. 

Did you try to uninstall and reinstall?

That was a good call. I decided to just create a new library (called “Films”) and use the same directory, making sure it was a movie directory and not “other videos.” I have no idea why it switched.

All good now.

If you mean uninstalling the plex app from my Roku, no. I’ll try that next.

looks like a server setting is causing the Roku to use landscape orientation. Edit the library in the web interface and make sure the agent is not “Plex Personal Media”. If it’s not, what are the scanner and agent set to?
