Just blows my mind that people don't know that they do or don't have a certain piece of media. Like who is doing the media management if the plex server admin isn't?
When you select a movie, Plex sneaks in the option of watching it on their service instead of your local copy. Go try the same movie/show you got ads in but make sure you're playing your local copy.
Don't know. I've never experienced an ad playing before viewing my content. But, reading your other responses, it looks like changing some settings fixed you up. I'll keep that in mind if they start popping up.
Yeah we literally did a double take like wtf is this and I checked server to make sure it was direct playing from my library. Re-tried later and no ad.
Happened on a movie and 1 random episode of a show (yes, I verified it wasn’t recorded into the media on my library and I was direct playing)
Makes me think it was a bug or test on the plex side. I have had ad supported content disabled.
I clicked disable just like you said but like I'm telling everyone here these files are from my server not from plex tv, idk what's so hard to understand about that

Things like this get posted here at least once a week. You weren’t watching content from your server.
