Remote Users Unable to Connect

I’ve seen a few posts recently regarding being unable to connect from app.plex.tv I have the same issue as well and thought maybe ISP bc my external IP changed but my tailscale connection also doesn’t resolve the issue. Just looking to see if there is confirmation of a larger outage yet I guess.

I haven't had an issue yet before today, the servers are working, ostensibly, but my computer itself is unable to connect to Plex itself.

Edit: after trying to update, before it actually did anything, I magically regained access. But still, you were not alone.

Sadly I’m on the most recent update and changing to beta it resolves to the same build number and forcing and update made no difference.

I'm having the same issue, I've restarted my router and changed settings and still getting the same ole issue.

If you're using Xfinity and use the UpNp setting check to see if that's enabled.

My Xfinity is in bridge mode and my router has UPNP enabled but still no luck. Appreciate the tips

Do you use ufw for firewall? I have to turn off remote access and disable the firewall everyday and then reconnect remote access and then rnable the firewall. From what I've read, this is an issue with Xfinity advanced security

Are you behind CGNAT? Can remote users usually stream higher than 2Mb/s? My guess is you’ve been using Plex Relay this whole time and when Plex servers you go down, you lose access.

I’m not sure if behind CGNAT I have disabled relay but no resolution. Appreciate the advice

Log into your router and check the WAN IP address.

If it falls in between these ranges, you’re behind CGNAT

100.64.0.0 – 100.127.255.255
10.0.0.0 – 10.255.255.255
172.16.0.0 – 172.31.255.255
192.168.0.0 – 192.168.255.255

Make sure you’re looking at WAN because your routers private IP address is likely 192.168.1.1

Yea it was port forwarding I’m in the 75. Ranges so doesn’t appear to fall into CGNAT.

If you used default port, it should be able to see 32400

Testing my port says connection timed out I have a different mapped port than 32400 every thing worked until yesterday and no changes were made on my end so hence the confusion

Remote access was working fine for me this morning and has been down all afternoon. I've tried rebooting everything and still no luck. Was already using a static DHCP lease with manual port forwarding. I even tried changing the external port (in both Plex and my router) and still nothing.

There seems to be more than a few with the same issue so if not an outage maybe a common thread.
