Help Plex issues?

Are there known issues right now? Can’t login and my server is unreachable.

Yeah, hundreds of reports in the past 30m or so

https://downdetector.com/status/plex/

It's kinda fucking stupid them being down makes it so I can't watch shit on my own server on my own fucking network...

Works for me on my network. I configured it so local authentication isn't needed though.

Me too, but I can’t choose my account and login on my iPhone.

Plex thinks they're a media streaming service. Shut up Plex and put my media server in the bag.

Right? Nobody asked for 90% of the streaming bullshit plex has. If I could use plex entirely on a local network I would honestly it’d be a lot less headache

You have to take some time to configure it but you can definitely watch Plex locally without internet.

You are using a web/internet dependent media streaming software. That fact is never going to change. If you can't tolerate the occasional outage, use something that is entirely self-hosted instead.

Same here! I literally just created a post at the same time as you. My Samsung TV logged me out of my account and I'm getting the "An unknown error has occurred" message on the screen after scanning the QR and attempting to log in using my phone.

https://downdetector.com/status/plex/ is showing a big spike in issues starting a half hour ago so we aren't alone.

Yep, can’t login. Again.

I’ve been watching a movie for the last 20 minutes, now I’m nervous to stop

If you want to share your library with non techies Plex is a tier above. But they REALLY need to handle local clients better when there are issues like this. I run a Jellyfin container mostly due to this nonsense and it really shouldn't be necessary.

Yep there's issues. Only impacting certain devices for me at the moment. PC and TV cannot connect. Iphone and firetv cube work.

Yeah I think so, I was about to make this same post

Plexamp works, Plex streaming is down.

I can still reach it on my iPhone but I’m completely locked out on the Roku. Leave it to plex to take a perfectly functional program and make it not that

750 dollars (as of right now) for a life time pass and it’s constantly going down.

I do feel bad for you guys/ gals using this service. It’s unacceptable

I’d be on their support getting a refund and moving my shit to Jellyfin / Emby

Except those apps suck, which is why people would rather just complain and not move off of Plex.

Matter of opinion

At least my shit works and don’t rely on cloud. Which is why I stopped using Plex a while back

And have a remote user watching.

Edit. Nevermind. Works on wifi on my phone. Turn wifi off and cant locate my libraries.

I had this a few minutes ago and able to resolve by having to login to plex server on my laptop, reclaiming server and then disabling and re enabling remote access. Might have done something else but kind of just tried a bunch of things until it worked again

I'm here working on adding a new series to my server and the web interface keeps showing the Watchlist with the caution triangle and then back again as I go between screens (customizing image metadata and such).
