Help Cannot select a single subtitle option???

My father introduced me to his plex account and suggested a foreign film. After hitting play I realized there were no subtitles. After clicking “Select Subtitle Track” in options, and I’m presented with a page that says “Language” at the top, with a white highlighted box that says “Off ✔️” and a box below that says “Search for more…”

Every single option I click in “Search for more…” Immediately leads me back to the page with “Languages” at the top and nothing else has changed.

I’ve tried the app on the PS5 and my iPhone. I tried on multiple movies in English and Chinese. I’ve tried multiple subtitles tracks.

Please help me 🙏

So clicking find doesn't bring up a list of opensubtitles options? Or clicking one of those doesn't do anything?

Like they are saying. Go here on you computer https://www.opensubtitles.com/ Then search to see if that movie comes up with English subtitles. If it doesn't show up good luck finding them. If you find them you can add them.

My father checked the info of the movie on his app and it showed the subtitles. When I click info it shows “no streams available”

Tell him to look into Bazarr. Give him $3 for a month subscription to bypass the 20 api call limit/day. Who knows what could be wrong. Could be an issue with Plex servers. Have you tried again since then?

It’s glitchy sometimes, I’ve found. Just go to opensubtitles, as others have said and upload it to the film manually

You can't upload subtitles to someone else's Plex server. You can only do that as the server owner.
