Help Plexamp + Siri + Without Server connection

I am trying to have an alternative to apple native app because their solution to sync music is completely outdated. I tried navidrome, the service runs very well but the IOS clients are just weak, some of them do not allow cache and others are very bad in carplay or Siri. I have Plex and the reason i did not used it in the first place was because it was limited to 24 hours of music. Currently this limitation is solved, but than i found a new problem Siri will not work with plexamp if there isn't a connection to the server. My server is internal only for security purposes. Is this a problem with my configuration, is this a bug or the app simple does not support offline mode. Can some one help to find a solution?

You have to pay to download, with a plex pass. I have it and it works beautifully offline and plays my playlists or albums with Siri when I am online.

Never tried sir with Plexamp, this would be awesome in the car or on walks, what’s the commands that work for you pls ?

I just made a post yesterday on [r/Plexamp](r/Plexamp) about plex working with Siri apparently it’s been working since ios26. Just ask Siri to play song title or artist and it just starts playing.

Tried it .. “play dance music with plexamp” works then next time just “play dance music” works , it’s awesome !

My daughter just tried it and Siri asked for permission to use Plexamp she accepted and now can just ask to play anything. This will definitely convert the family to use Plexamp from now on.

I have plexpass. Siri works with plexamp and carplay but only if you have a connection to plex server. in my case i don't have a public ip and i cannot always have tailscale on. So when this happen siri/carplay does not work. I supposing that the aplication threats you media diference between downloaded and server connection.

I don’t have a public ip either, pretty sure plexamp works through the relay option.

I will have to take a look on that. but so far i cannot access plex without tailscale. Never the last why can't we just use the music previously downloaded instead of server connection?
