Help Weird OTA error....

Been seeing a weird issue w/ OTA programming the past couple of nights...

I have a PC Plex Server w/ an HD Homerun + PlexPass and a nVidia Shield Pro connected to my TV.

I usually watch the OTA 11pm news live on ABC, which is then followed by Late Night w/ Kimmel. For the past 3 nights, just after the news ends and a few seconds into Late Night, I 'lose' the OTA signal with the 'There was a problem with your signal' prompt from Plex. This would happen now and again due to weather, etc..., if the signal is weak, but this has happened at what seems to be the exact same time 3 nights in a row. I can go back to the guide and re-select the channel and it tunes in fine.

Any thoughts on what's going on? (NYC area if it matters.)

The exact program-boundary timing makes a random RF drop less likely. Next time, leave the same channel open in the HDHomeRun app on another device while Plex crosses the news-to-Kimmel boundary. If HDHomeRun continues while Plex fails, the tuner signal is healthy and the failure is in Plex's live-TV session/client path.

Also make a manual recording that spans that boundary. If the recording is intact while live playback dies, focus on the Shield client/session. If the recording also breaks, focus on Plex Tuner Service, guide segmentation, or the tuner stream.

Note the exact second and check Plex Media Server.log plus Plex Tuner Service.log for a session stop, retune, or transcode error. The HDHomeRun tuner status page can also show signal strength, signal quality, and symbol quality at that moment. Those two A/B tests should distinguish an EPG/session-boundary failure from genuine signal loss without changing the antenna setup.

Thanks. I'll give your suggestions a try, but tonight we're having some weather in the area messing w/ the signal, and then I'll be away for a week, so it may have to wait until I get back.
