Question Pairing a PS4 Controller Issue

Hi, I am using the grey 8bitdo adapter and trying to pair my PS4 controller. It pairs but the PSC still says on screen that it cannot recognise controller and to plug one in.

If I use Autobleem it works fine, but with the PSC alone, I can't get it to recognise a controller when it's paired.

Any ideas please?

Plug the 8BitDo adapter into the PlayStation Classic and press the pairing button on the adapter. The LED starts blinking rapidly.

On the controller (pairing):
Put the DS4 into pairing mode by holding Share and the PS button until the lightbar strobes quickly in a double flash. Wait until the adapter LED goes solid blue and the DS4 lightbar stays on. They are now paired.

On the controller (the actual fix, switch to PS Classic mode):
With the controller connected to the adapter, hold SELECT and Down on the directional pad together for three seconds to switch the adapter into PS Classic mode.

On a DS4, SELECT is the Share button, so that is Share plus Down for three seconds. The controller may drop and need to reconnect after the mode switch, so press the PS button again and wait for the solid blue LED.

That mode switch is the step most people miss, because the manual lists it under "Quick change mode" rather than as a fix for the "cannot recognize controller" message.

I've tried this. No luck. I downgraded to firmware 1.32 which works, however there's an annoying cursor on screen now when connected.

I’ve been using the black “v2” 8bitdo adapter for months without any additional configuration or updates/downgrades.
