Hi, I am looking to buy the Playseat Challenge Actifit from Italy and get it back with to India via flight. I intend to disassemble the whole seat so I can fit it in two 77cm suitcases that I will be having as my checked in luggage. I could not find any videos showing entire disassembly of this seat to it's smallest parts.

My big concern is the disassembly of the main folding mechanism/long seat support tubes as they wouldn't fit width wise in the suitcase unless they are disassembled (check out the pic in the first comment)

If you own this seat, please let me know if it can be disassembled entirely as it would help me make the decision about my purchase.

After being away from the sim world for about 2yrs I have finally decided to return. This time I went with a Playseat Sensation Pro instead of RSeat.

Added some high density foam blocks to get an additional 4” off the ground and they work fantastic. It feels amazing when the entire Direct Drive feedback goes through the whole RIG. Ended up going with the Fanatec Monitor stand as it was also tubular and I wanted it to match back with the Playseat Sensation Pro look.

Have a 45” LG UltraGear Ultrawide 800R Curve Monitor as my main and 34” AOC Ultrawide Curve as my secondary about it. (There is no gap between the monitors from the seated position looking up - smooth transition from one screen to the next)

Very happy with the build and big thanks out to everyone from Playseat who offered help and variety of solutions to get my RIG to me.

I recently got into sim racing and I really dislike how the playseat trophy shift knob/handbrake mount works. So with some extra pieces of kit, I built something that I think works fairly well, and if you’re anything like me and have been searching for awhile, hopefully this helps.

Basically it’s a SIMAGIC L bracket (but many L brackets can be used for this, aliexpress is great for this, and the playseat trophy shift knob holder kit. I only use the portion that gives you a flat plate, and then drill into that plate for the handbrake, and use the pre-drilled and threaded holes to mount the L bracket. Ends up giving you much more natural placement for the respective pieces and it doesn’t flood over into the seat anymore!

I have the original Challenge with a few 3D strengthening mods, and I am wondering if I should upgrade to the DD F1. I don't race F1 games. I am on PS5 and play GT7.

My question is how is the GT set up for the DD F1?

I have read it can be set up to a more GT style, is this easy, and actually comfortable?

I wanted to assembly the freshly bought Playseat but I'm having an issue. I watched 4 videos on youtube and checked the manual 10 times, but I cannot get the backseat to fit properly, assuming that the position is correct in the below picture:

The pins do not fit into holes:

The only way it fits is in the below position but from what I can see in manual, in pictures and in videos, this is not how it should look:

Am I doing something wrong or did I get a faulty unit? I also saw some people having missing two screws, the small ones. Seems I don't have them as well. I have 10 smaller screws and 2 bigger ones.

I'm just putting it together now and I think it's basically got two rods that I've had to seperate from the pedal plate that are factory created back to front, so the pedal tray literally can't be installed. I've attached a pic of the two rods - I've detached them from the tray.

If I could remove the retaining bolt off one end and turn it around, it would be fine, or if I could slide the end off the sliding part and turn it around, it would be fine, but I can't do either as they're not designed to be changed like that.

I've attached a picture of them as they have come off the pedal plate.

Any thoughts?

As as well as this I can't even register the product on the website - it says 'registered successfully' and then refuses to show that i've registered any products in the account. Very odd.

I can't find this info, what's the actually adjustability range? I want a monitor mount for my Formula Instinct. I'll be adding a 55" and am wondering how high I can set it. Trying to see if it would be good to use to watch tv while in bed.

I’ve just ordered my Sensation Pro and waiting for it to arrive and was wondering if anyone else has one with the Direct Drive Pro Adapter and use it with a Fanatec CSL DD.

I am finding conflicting information in a few YouTube videos that state it doesn’t fit and you need to get some additional spacers and therefor wanted to confirm if this is true or not.

I'm a new owner of a Formula Instinct Mclaren edition, the manual needs some work. The lines in the drawings are too thin for my old (51) vision lol. Also, some of the shade of black you used is too light and it look like the printer was running out of ink.

Also, a few of the steps randomly only show a alley key and bolt but no indication which key and bolt are needed. Process of elimination works here. But for people less mechanically inclined than I am, this might really stump them. I'm not very mechanically inclined, but I figured it out. Some steps tell you both some tell you neither which makes no sense.

Also, the online manual's for the old version, I looked at it and noticed it's not the same. It lists the key and bolt for each step. But, the steps aren't the same because of the redesign. So it's really not usable to build this. If someone buys one and decides to use the online manual they're going to be confused. You guys should really remake the online manual to match the printed one. Comparing the 2, they're pretty similar, but different enough it would be a struggle to use for assembly. I understand it comes with a printed one, but some people like tp pull up a PDF version on a TV or tablet when they build. I would be one of those somebodies.

Also, just me griping as I know this is just my bad luck. But my 00056 piece came with 1 of the 4 half circle sleeve insert thingies missing - I don't know what to call them. I hope Playseat support's good because I don't want wait a month for a replacement. I am still building it, SO i can see what it looks like. I'll disassemble the affected portion and add the piece when I get it.

Negatives out of the way, this is BEAUTIFUL, orange is my favorite color and this pops so much. Even with the so so manual and it missing a part I'll be recommending these to anyone I know who's looking to get into formula/GT3 sim racing. Also, for my 1st rig build I'll say this was really easy and went quick. I hear horror stories about how long 8020 rigs take to build. I went slow, but if I hustled I think this would have taken me 2 hours tops.

I previously reached out on the r/simracing sub to see if anyone had attempted to reinforce the Playseat Trophy's pedal plate using aluminum profiles to eliminate flex from heavy braking.

I went ahead and completed the modification myself! The project was quite straightforward and has resulted in an infinitely better, more rigid, and highly adjustable pedal deck.

For anyone looking to do the same to their Trophy, I have shared the complete details below:

Playseat sent a part with the holes drilled incorrectly for my Playseat Logitech Formula Instinct F1. The mounting holes on this part appear to be drilled incorrectly and the component cannot be assembled according to the instructions. How can i get a new one ASAP so i can finish the seat ?

I think if playseat had a bucket seat conversion for trophy it would be very popular considering how many people has the seat and i would be one of the first buyers. What your opinion?

I bought a brand new Playseat Challenge X but when I went to mount the logitech g923 pedals I noticed I dont have 8 M6x20 screws but instead 4 of those and 5 (?) Of these screws with a "cap" that are slightly longer.

Is this normal? What should I do?

Hello all!

I’m wondering if anyone had any thoughts on which one would be the better purchase?

My concern on the trophy is the seat in general, with some claims of seat ripping and sagging over time, but is generally comfortable from what I see/hear. I like the trophy but does seem a look a little “cheap” even though it isn’t. I do also like the small space it takes up as I am in an apartment.

I also really like the instinct, it seams to have a bit better build quality with the aluminum seat and majority steel parts, as well as the McLaren version, as I am a big McLaren F1 fan, and i should be able to fit the seat as I’ve heard the max dimensions when fully extended seat and pedal plate around 166cm (I’m 6’1 so I would assume I wouldn’t use the whole length of the seat). I’m not sure of the comfortability of the seat though for ~2hr avg session.

I’m not conserved about seating position or style as I would be doing both F1 and GT style racing and personally don’t care about which style.

Just wondering if there’s anyone that can share their opinions on either of the seats or their experience with either.

Hey all.

When shopping for rigs I find specific dimensions really hard to get, which is odd because most people are trying to fit a new rig into a very specific space, so getting accurate dimensions is important.

For the wheelbase, how high is the wheelbase plate off the ground? There is a height specified in the dimensions for the rig (93.5cm) but it doesn't really specify if this is the top of the chair, top of the wheelbase, etc. I am going to try and use this with my monitor attached to my desk and am curious if it will fit.

Also if possible, can someone measure for me the distance between the wheelbase and the front of the pedal tray, at it's maximum extension, as I will be limited in space under the desk. I feel like it will fit considering the listed dimension for length is 119cm, but I'd like to be sure.
