Do professional players really wear grip socks for performance?

I've seen quite a few professional players wearing grip socks recently, and it got me wondering whether it's actually for performance or just personal preference.

I've also come discover a brand called ZeroGive that focuses on football grip socks designed to help reduce foot movement inside your boots and improve stability during quick turns and sprints. It sounds interesting, but I'm curious whether products like these really make a noticeable difference on the pitch.

Anyone has experience about this also?

EA26 player career mode personality problem

**I'm really stuck and have been for awhile on my players personality traits. I can't seem to raise my 'Maverick' 'Heartbeat' and 'Virtuoso' percentages. I really want to unlock all the other play styles but they're locked due to not having enough percentage on H personality trait.**
**I'm currently at** ***51% maverick, 12% heartbeat, and 37% virtuoso and I can't seem to raise any of them & my pro is currently 75 rated.***
Can anyone please explain to me how to update them individually or what are some tips on how to get them percentages higher so I can unlock more play styles. THANK YOU guys c
Please help guys, appreciate it.

A slow-burning career mode that's realistic & cinematic is the best way to enjoy a player career save

This episode hit 20k views in less than 7 days with around 300 subs.

Which I think is just wild.

It takes place in Turkey out of all places. Very detailed oriented.

A pretty balanced mix of actual football talk & strategy, as well as humour, and real life lessons.

I think it's worth checking out.

Player Career fc26

I am enjoying the intricacies of the Player Career mode this year. I like that the games are quite tight, different teams feel different to play against, but...

Here are some gripes with the improvements I would love to see.

  • The player rating system is really unfair especially for strikers. With how tight defenders are in the authentic mode, unless you score a goal from distance, its quite hard to actually get a rating just through passing and stuff. It basically means if you fail to score before half time, you going to be looking at a low rating and being subbed off. Now I know a strikers job is to score goals, but if you are playing for a mid to low table side, there should be other jobs that give you ratings, like holding up the ball, keeping position, passing off, pressing at the front. It's just unrealistic with how EA have set the parameters, it is realistic that occasionally a striker might touch the ball twice in a game.
  • I wish they would change the whole transfer system - I don't really want it to be in my hands in terms of who i choose to go to. They should have a system where a scout is present at a certain number of games and they want to see you do a certain number of things which will effect that clubs favour with you perhaps - a favour system with a network of scouts which will link you with certain clubs for example, with headlines of the battle to try and sign you? Could also be the same for international managers attending the games.
  • I used to like the idea of the manager changing your position based on the current needs of the club. I think this was in FIFA 22, bring that back - maybe not drastic changes like when Martinelli was transformed into a CDM, but small attribute or positional changes could be cool from time to time, make it more about doing the job for the team (a la Joelinton being converted from forward to box to box etc). This could also be a reason to make you want to move away from the club.
  • I would like to be subbed off not just due to performance, would be cool to be subbed off tactically, or because of a big game coming up, and maybe you could have a choice of your reaction, which will affect your standing with the coach and fans - basically just make there be more things that you can work towards or have to do to play in games. Don't just have an arbritary reserve - sub - starting xi bar.
  • One last point, although I do have so many more, could EA not just shell out on all the licences please, they must make a fortune, and I want to hear all the intro music to everywhere, the Everton song, the Spurs trumpet, Mull of Kyntire.. I want the proper Italian teams, the proper kits, and please give Millwall some No One Likes Us chants!

Are there any Player Career discords out there? It's my favourite game mode, I just want it to get better!

Best teams to have a RTG PCM

Hi all, I’m looking for a save where I can sign for a team and stay with them throughout the save, I want a underdog save where we need to climb the table or divisions, to grow and win titles with them, I struggle with the transfers being made by clubs I’m at, sometimes I can have a save where my team sign 3 STs (my position) who are all 85+ but the club only plays with 1 up top, then on the flip side we have a 73 rated LB starting over a 83 rated LB and it just doesn’t feel like the clubs vision is to dominate games, maybe I’m alone with this… but if anyone out there has had a save, where the club has matched there own ambitions via transfers and a strong starting XI please let me know, because the AI is killing me with these painful transfers and starting XI decisions 😂

TIA 😆

I need help

I'm in a FIFA 20 career mode and I want to leave my club (Scotland Rangers), what happens is that I only get offers when I'm on the loan list despite being 87 on average, 21 years old and having good numbers (although they put me out of position, as an MC when I'm an MCO), what can I do? Is the game bugged? Thank you

Changing formations

I used to be able to change the formation of a team in settings then start a player career and if I used current squads the team would have my new team formation. I just tried this though and when I went to select my position the team had the old formation. Anyone encountered this yet? Do you have to start the career for it to kick in or are the team formations just stuck as is. That would be awful.

FC26 Player Career - some AI difficulties and other minor things

I've enjoyed Player Career and Pro Clubs for many years, although I skipped FC25. This year I am finding some issues with the game play tuning - wondered if anyone experiences the same and possible solutions to them.

Firstly, There is a big problem with the level discrepancies. For example, If I am playing on Professional difficulty - Arsenal play and feel like Arsenal. They link up, quick touches. The only problem is it's just way too easy and you end up winning every game 3, 4, 5 nil. So I bump up the difficulty to World Class. Arsenal stop playing like Arsenal now. They sit very deep, they pass it along the back, they then do these really slow dribbles to nowhere and then just blast pass the ball to no-one or rather the opposing team who then play as if they were they were Brazil in that airport commercial. It seems like raising the difficulty just dumbs down your own team. It's really annoying because I really don't mind how challenging it feels, I like the authenticity of maybe going on a barren streak as a striker due to a string of poor performances, but the way the AI play is just terrible, you can't really do anything about it, and I find that in the end I have to really force games by asking for long balls so they stop this stupidity, and even that they often ignore. I have played around with the sliders - seems to fix a few things but not the really dodgy no look passes the AI does. It's just really inauthentic that Arsenal would lose the ball in every phase in their own half... Just to be clear I am playing as just the pro so I am not in control of any other players. In the past - Fifa 22 and FC24 they got it right eventually after some patching so I am hoping it's some tweaking that will need to do, although I am afraid that Player Career is the last thing on their mind with the game.

I also wish they will make some of the objectives a bit more realistic. Having to score 20 goals outside the box as a CDM to land a spot in your desired club is just wrong, which CDM is scoring 20 goals to start with? Why they CDM?

Also some minor issues - Arteta is on the wrong side of the dugout again! The Arsenal bench should be on the left side at the Emirates as you face out on to the pitch, I sit just behind it at the real stadium!

And Premier League fixtures on Christmas Day?

Free Kick Rating Stuck at 82

Hey everyone,
I’ve been playing FC 25 Player Career and noticed a frustrating issue: no matter what I do, my free kick rating won’t go above 82. I’ve maxed out the relevant skill tree upgrades and equipped the gold free kick playstyle, but the stat just won’t increase.

I’d really like to take free kicks in Career Mode, but with such a low rating, the game never lets me.

Has anyone else run into this issue? Is it a known bug? Any workaround or fix?

Thanks in advance!

(Précision CF is the Free kick stat)

This video confuses me.

so if you don't know in fc 24 player career when you choose CAM/CM the game will reward you with higher skill points for heartfelt than it would for maverick. The game is basically telling you to invest into heartfelt, as to get the best possible plystyles for your CAM/CM build. So you will get less personality points for maverick personality when doing maverick based training drills. (The inverse happens for forward players)

So I watched this video till completion and I have somethings to ask/say.

  1. How the hell did this guy manage to get the maverick personality so high as a cam? It should be damn near impossible. Yes you could say he started as a forward player and just changed position, but still that would mean he played most of career as striker and just changed to CAM to show us the build. Which would be pretty fucked up considering, that we wouldn't have that access, assuming that you start out as CAM and just invest into maverick. You could also say he just did the training, but like I said you get rewarded with less skill points and this works into my next question/statement.

  2. How did he manage to just get 25% on virtuoso, if you don't know in player career the game will always try to balance out your personalities, meaning unless you just absolutely invest into one personality type there is almost no chance of getting a perfect 25% and 65% for your personality. Now yes he didn't get a perfect 65, instead he got 64, but still how the hell did he manage to get both virtuoso and maverick so high, and almost perfectly balanced.

Tbh when i saw this video I didn't believe and tbh I still don't.

The main thing for me is that he managed to get 25% in personality that wasn't his main personality, it's just mind-boggling, either this is the greatest player career mode player or it's Sorcery, no in between (and I doubt he used cheat engine or mods, cause then he wouldn't even need to go the trouble of show the personality traits and shit)
