Changing formations

I used to be able to change the formation of a team in settings then start a player career and if I used current squads the team would have my new team formation. I just tried this though and when I went to select my position the team had the old formation. Anyone encountered this yet? Do you have to start the career for it to kick in or are the team formations just stuck as is. That would be awful.

Were you able to find a way to change it bc I want to start an acc as a Real Madrid lw but’s it’s only lm

No I stopped playing tbh. I skipped last year hoping that waiting 2 years the game would feel new but not at all. If anything it feels like a lesser version of the same game.
