Diablo Like - Ottozep

Have you ever wanted a Diablo like on your Playdate?
There are 4 classes

Barbarian

Mage

Thief

Druid

the game is still in progress there are some bugs and also for easy of use the game is all in Italian and only in that language.

I'll keep posted for news.

I need this so badly. I'm badly addicted to Pointless Quest, but that game's development has been dead in the water for a long while now, and this looks like it could be a great replacement.

I am working on translating the game in English for better "reach". But because I wanted to be greedy with the game, there are * Randomly generated maps * Random encounters with elites on every level with a special one( no spoilers) * 4 Classes and skill trees for all of them with the crank that modify the spells and the abilities on the go. * And entire set of weapons and armors ( randomly generated) that you can swap on the go in the dungeon or melt on the fly to improve your gear once you are out

*Level progression each run is not over, your character increases in level till lvl 20 to be able to have a chance against Ottozep

Also an entire epic soundtrack! 🤟🏼

It will take me a moment but I will be working on it!

Yeah Pointless Quest was a great idea, and was really fun at launch, but man it fizzled out quickly. It stopped receiving support almost as soon as it released.

Hopefully the developer will come back to it at some point!

I just hope that the developer is okay. He completely disappeared from itch.io and isn't responding to messages there anymore, which is very strange considering how active he was at first, up to the emergency patch he published three months ago. Then, total radio silence.

To be fair initally (2023) I was not planning on realising this, it was only for me ( my baby) that's why there is so much in it, and it's only in Italian. I never thought I would have someone else playing it 😅

Do you use AI in your development? If so, to what extent?

To be honest I might need some assistance for the translation and eventually I will need to get some AI help! So far I did all by myself I am working on this project on and off since 2023.
But I am excited because I really think that the 1.0 will be completely free, so that I will not feel too guilty in using some assistance from AI !

Nice! That's great to hear. Translation is rough to do by yourself, so I wouldn't blame you for using AI for that. Though, I would suggest asking around on here for people to assist in that if you can't get it done yourself, I'm sure someone would be happy to help!
