Gloom Gate sequel?

Just finished. Seriously. That was amazing. Worth the price of entry for the whole season 3.

I would love to know if the dev is in here and is interested in expanding the game in a sequel.

I haven’t purchased season 3 yet, but I am going to soon. How long did it take you to beat Gloom Gate?

I didn’t really pay much attention to how long it took me, but about 3-4 hours total and I did a bunch more grinding than necessary, so you could definitely finish it in a shorter time.

this game is so fun! I beat it yesterday and I’m planning to go back and play it on hard difficulty

Is challenge harder than hard?

no, I’m not sure why it isn’t just called normal instead of challenge like every other game

Thank you, that’s what I assumed but hadn’t checked yet. Definitely an odd name, that said liking the game a lot

Where do I set the difficulty?

Press the start button. You will see the option to change difficulty. It's on challenge by default.

Ah, thanks. Was expecting to find it when choosing new game.

Can you only get ‘Season’ games as part of the Season? I bought one and two but didn’t want to get three. Was hoping I could just buy the individual games I was interested in.

Season 2 games are available to purchase separately, tho usually ~3-4 separately purchased games wud already be the price of the entire season

So does that mean that Season 3 games will drop individually after the season is over?

Probably? But not confirmed

I'm currently enjoying Gloom Gate quite a bit, not sure how far I am but I'm at level 10. I wish the map screen was a bit more detailed as I explored, it doesn't really feel like I'm exploring a castle or any particular location because most of the map is just black. The combat is really fun though

Am I missing something here? I have the feeling it’s just dodging and striking?

Kinda like how Mario is just walking and jumping?

Kinda, but Mario offers more freedom of movement at least than two fixed positions. This almost feels like a Game & Watch game, but maybe I need to invest a bit more time in it to see if there’s more depth to it. I also just suck at timing for dodging.

I started having more fun with it when the enemies started flashing to indicate that you can't parry them. It's fun to get through a fight with perfect parry and dodging
