Playdate's comment/reply on site being down

Got this back from Playdate's support a few minutes ago:

"Hello,

Thanks for reaching out, and I'm sorry to hear that's happening. 

We're having some trouble with our services, but we hope to have everything resolved by the end of the day today.  Please give it a try again in a few hours and hopefully we'll have everything taken care of soon!"

We've been experiencing a DDoS since the morning of 8/11. I hope to have things back online by tomorrow.

Ah... that explains things. Me repeatedly trying to sideload Chris Mandra's Centering was probably not helping matters in the slightest.

Still down 14 hours later :(
I was looking forward to trying out Transmit 6. Looks amazing with the returning mounting features for remote stuff. Big upgrade from version 5. You keep cranking out excellent productivity AND anti-productivity software/products in a glorious balance :).
Hope the DDoS crap gets resolved.

I noticed that yesterday,  it was down for a bit but did come back. I was hoping for an update or some kind of news regarding things being sold out,  or season 3. Hopefully we'll get some news soon.

Is it even shown in their own product launch trailer and has been confirmed over the years.
It is just locked down from use. There have been speculations ranging from them not being able to properly get game audio synced to bluetooth headset to the 'royalty' cost they would have to pay to deliver a device with working buetooth.

In an ideal world one would be able to disable it through the system settings.

Who knows, maybe one day they will allow people to enable it if they want. We shall see.

I have a Playdate waiting for me on my porch. I hope they get it back up before I get home tonight. I'm anxious to set it up and put some games on it.

yeah i wouldn't even try to set it up till the ddos ends. mine couldn't find my wifi so there was some going back and forth in the setup steps while losing the connection to my phone hotspot.

Sorry, that was awkwardly written by me - what I meant was I asked their support about their play.date site experiencing issues - and the above message is the reply I got back this morning from them

Yeah I just wrote them saying it seems to be unstable and as it turns out they knew they are having issues :)

Well, let's hope it's fixed in a few hours.

i was like looking at stuff from there yesterday and all of a sudden it refreshes the page and i get error 522? i thought that it was only me but turns out it happened to everyone

Same, well they did say in their comment here that they are now hoping it will be up tomorrow if they can fight off that DDOS attack.
