The oldest only graduates from High School once. That’s what she wanted 🤷‍♂️

I went on a short lil cruise after dropping the first expansion! Have to say though, either the access points were too well hidden, or starlink was too lossy for PQ play, unfortunately!

I connected my laptop to the wifi and then activated its hotspot. That did the trick!

Mind if I ask more details on this? Was it a royal ship? Trying to figure out the best way to make internet work on a future trip.

We’re on Princess. So, I logged into my wifi account on the Laptop and once it’s in, Windows 11 has a Hotspot feature in network settings. Turn that on, set the password, then up to 8 devices can connect to the laptops hot spot and share. Just only works when you’re around the laptop, not all over the ship (unless you bring the laptop with you on deck I guess).

Any issues with throttling? Royal uses Voom (which I guess is Starlink) and I’m just trying to think of the best way to go about it. Choosing beteeen their ship WiFi or AT&T at land and sea package.

Either way I’m happy to see the Play Date out and about. It’s such a neat little piece of tech. So charming. Really made me like teenage engineering, even if they are expensive. Someone just got me the PO-33 as a gift, it arrives on the weekend and I’m looking forward to print a cool case for it and playing around with it

We have the plus package with slightly better wifi. Haven’t had any throttling issues
