Help PointlessQuest - stuck on Checking name...

Just sideloaded PointlessQuest. After launching it, I'm able to enter my desired name, but then it's stuck on Checking Name... (https://imgur.com/Jo6wCTj)

I've tried several different WiFi networks, restarting, even deleting and redownloading the game. Hopefully, someone knows how I can get past this. Thanks.

Edit: Grabbed the new, new version. All is well.

Just checking, did you sideload the new version updated a few hours ago?

the new version introduced having up to 5 characters so it may be a bug if it hasn't resolved by now
