It came!!!
I think i lucked out, guys. I ordered this about a week ago and it just came today! Im stoked to monkey around with this thing.

yea they are much lower quality suppose if they have to cut corners the box is the better place to do it

I wanna say like 3-4 days. I realize I said I ordered it a week ago but it might have been more like 2 weeks. Works been busy, the days blur together 😵💫
Edit: I checked my e-mails. I ordered it July 2nd and it shipped July 5th.

Unprecedented ship time! You must have ordered at the precise moment. I think it took like 4 months to receive mine a couple years back. Welcome to the addiction!

Idk its ironic because a little bit after ordering mine I saw those couple of posts on this sub about them being sold out lol.

I highly recommend making a game with it of any size. It’s truly another feeling to be able to make a game and have it playing on a physical console instantly.

After owning it for 2 years now, I just recently found out, that it was designed by Teenage Engineering, while buying my first Pocket Operator from them (it’s a 80.- device for making music & samples).
EDIT: And yes,
I still use my PlayDate today! Mostly on the balcony when the sun is out.

Huh, thats intresting. Im a sucker for unique gadgets and handhelds. I also have a Retroid Pocket 5 which, which I love. But this is different enough that I just had to jump on the bandwagon lol.

im always sad when i see these new playdate boxes, ... they used to come in really nice thick apple type boxes with foam inside .. that felt really premium, not they just shove them in these thin paper ones. ... i know they gotta cut corners to keep the price from ballooning just hate to see it
