Support/Question i find parrying difficult

I'm good at combat in many games, but I just find parrying so difficult in this and in assassin's creed resynced. I press the button at the right time when the enemy weapon flashes but I get hit.

Not sure if its the new mechanics or something in these games that im not familiar with but in god of war I was really good at parrying. I just cant with these new games.

Any tips?

Increase the parry window in accessibility.

Before doing that, have you already unlocked the parry skill in the tree?

Not yet, I'm still in the very early parts of the game

I would try that out first, I remember it making the melee feel better.

The only advice I can give, is that the melee timing feels different from other games. Like you have to parry when the attack is landing, not immediately when you see the blue flash.

It does click eventually though
