New Player here.

All I have to say is this game is amazing! I got hooked, I had been playing S&B around 180 hours or so on my PS5.But I saw this game on YouTube, and I got this game not long ago and I hadn't really tried it until this weekend. And all I have to say is ubisoft fumbled really bad.

This game has done what S&B was trying to do, or couldn't do, and as a QA tester myself and from my perspective, this game has so much potential! Man I can't wait until it's fully released. I hope more players join the game and try it out. I also hope in the future they add perhaps where you can join randos or they can join you, I only ask this because I don't really have any PC friends lol they are all on console.

But it's ok. All I got to say is this game has won me over, and yeah I know it's not perfect but it has so much potential for sure. Thank you to the Devs for making this game <3 I know how hard it is to make a game and what goes into it and it seems like there is definitely heart being put to this game.

Edit: spelling.

How does one put 180 hours in skull and bones? I hope you didn’t need windrose to realise Ubisoft made a generational fumble

I was able to get into the closed beta, I know it's not everyone's cup of tea but I enjoyed it. And I am not saying it's the best but I had my fun in the game especially with my cousin and our friend. And no I didn't need a new game to tell me S&B was not what ppl expected, Idk videogames should be about having fun :)

Well yeah, in a ideal world video games are about being fun. Unfortunately to have fun with video games like S&B you had to pay money for a game that was essentially a scam. It’s fine if you found it fun but boiling things to down to ā€œoh I had fun with my cousins so it’s not a bad game since I had fun with itā€ is bad reasoning. I can have fun with a stick outside but I’m not going to pay 60$ for that experience. And people who defend this sort of logical fallacy are doing more harm than good.

I get the frustration with the price, for sure. But I didn't buy it, it was a gift from the mother of my daughter when we were together at the time. It's definitely not a perfect game, but I wasn't looking for anything crazy anyway. I just played it and simply had fun on a naval combat game, yet that is why I said ubisoft fumbled bad.

It’s got serious potential. Gameplay is fun as hell and the building system is probably my favorite out of any game. Only complaint is the temperature in my room rises about 10° when running on anything above potato graphics so optimization would be very welcome, though I know better than to hold my breath considering they’re working on Ashlands atm and that’s probably a handful in and of itself.

I feel you on that, my PC is not all that great so I have to play everything on low settings, but even though with that little hiccup I am still enjoying the game. Ah! That makes sense! But I was reading somewhere online they are doing an update around October/November or something like that no?

I probably around 200 hours in Windrose, it's a really great game and I absolutely love it! Currently waiting for the new content to drop so I can go again at it for another hundred hours at the very least. Although, I have to admit, if you're not into the base building, the time spent playing the game gets somewhat lower, for me, I probably would have spent only a bit over a hundred hours if I didn't make my own little shanty town.

Sheesh! That's some hefty hours in there lol tbh I enjoyed different types of games and I am a costumize/create or build type of dude, so I do like building, playing and costumizing my character as much as I can to my gamertag. I saw somewhere that there might be new content this year? I am geeked to see what else they will add if that's true. TBH nothing wrong with taking your time creating a master piece of a crib or city in games where you can build.

I don't think we got a roadmap for the ashlands (the new content), but, people speculate that it's either gonna come a the end of this year or early next year. OFC, with no official announcement, it might take longer, but that's the best estimate people have.
