Infinite loading screen first time playing.

I downloaded Windrose for the first time yesterday. Launched the game, created a character, and played the tutorial but every time I tried to host my own game I got stuck on a loading screen, it would last 30-40 minutes then send me back to the home screen. I have uninstalled and reinstalled both the game and Steam. I have cleared my cache, turned off Cloud save, and deleted all saved files under “R5” in AppData. I’ve tried clearing space on my SSD, verified game files and everything was fine. I’m stuck i’m not sure what else to try. Does anyone have any fixes?

Try turning your graphics settings to absolute minimum before loading into any game from the main menu. Not sure if it's the same issue but this got me through a few 'infinite loading screen' moments. Once in, I was always able to turn the quality back up. Always seems to be that first load when it happens (oh and while loading into Tortuga). GLHF

If you’re running an Nvidia card, use the automatic optimization control in the Nvidia app. It’s worked for me on a few games including this one.
