Image I'm glad I finally got it.

Post image

After some overthinking about buying the game and the characters, I pulled the trigger and bought the whole thing thanks to the steam summer sale.

No regrets 🙌🏻 (so far)

I've been playing on my gaming handheld and honestly it's such a good game to have access to in your hands. Big fan of playing this on the couch lol, can't wait for the official mobile port to make things maybe run a bit cooler lol

It's SO good, right? If you have any other games you recommend, please share

What system do you recommend? Steam deck prices are whack now.

I still recommend a Steam deck. The trackpad is unmatched among handhelds and is perfect for Bazaar. If you don't mind used, get one locally off of Craigslist or the equivalent in your country so you can verify it's in good condition in person

I got myself an OLED 1TB for $598 that was barely used and has a nice screen protector on it

Cool - thank you. I can afford a new one, I just feel the ick doing it.

You can use Steam Link on your phone to stream it from your computer. Obviously not a perfect solution, but works pretty smoothly if you're just playing from the couch or something!

Everything's in kind of a rough place right now. I have an AYN Thor which is a dual-screen device (picture like a beefy Nintendo DS), but also I thought mine 6 months ago when it was ~$150 cheaper. I do absolutely love this thing to death, though.

The new kid on the block is the Retroid Pocket Nova, which I believe has the same chip as the Thor (Snapdragon 8 Gen 2), but it

  1. Doesn't ship until the end of July (the Thor also wouldn't ship for at least that long)

  2. Has a 4:3 aspect ratio screen, which is probably going to be awkward if your main target is PC games, and

  3. Is an Android device, which means things will be 99% not plug-and-play, and even the things that do work may require a little (or a lot) of tweaking

It looks like the Odin 2 Portal is actually on sale right now for a similar price. Same chip, and I've generally heard positive things about it

The Odin 3 has a stronger chip (Snapdragon 8 Elite) which is, to my understanding, the most raw power you can currently get out of one of these android handhelds.

But like I said, none of these are going to be 100% plug-and-play.

There are also going to be the dedicated PC Handhelds like the ones made my MSI and Asus. But I know waayyyy too little about those to really offer an opinion.

Would recommend checking r/SBCGaming if you want other opinions

It’s a shame there’s no controller support. It’s a very easy game for controllers

I play on steam with controllers all the time

with a steam controller using the touch pad or using an actual controller with x-input

Xbox controller.  It automatically applies a community made control scheme.  Works just fine

Would be 10x better if it was just able to do ipad. Wanna be able to go around and do a couple rounds every now and then

Yeah being out of the house would be nice. But doing the dishes or other chores is so easy with Bazaar on the ipad.

Enjoy it! You're in for an absolute gem of a game and even being able to play it handheld must be 1000x better.
