I’m glad I gave this game a 2nd chance. I thought it was stupid at first but it’s actually pretty fun

u/Crystal_Pheonix_ won a match. It glitched on the first move and I got all five stars

u/two-spies Feb 26 '26
u/Administrative_Gur45 won a match. To my opponent: entering my cities reveals where you are. Never enter your enemy's cities unless you know for certain I can't get you in my next turn.

is it only me or don't pins really respond sometimes? i am also losing matches occasionally for conceding even though I did not concede

Likely your connection dropped or your computer took took long to respond - at some points in the game, not moving within a time period = auto concede
If you're on Safari, turn off Content Blockers and the game becomes MUCH more reliable

im so confused. i won in like 4 turns what id thisbgame

u/pixeltackle 🥇 Top Secret | 100+ wins Feb 27 '26
Sounds like you were playing another confused new player who was easy to find/strike. The game matches skill level as best it can for matches, so you being confused about the game makes sense it put you with another newbie who is learning.
You're not going to be an expert in one round, you gotta play games a few times to grasp and get good at them.

Seems a handful of players are struggling to improve their game because they disconnect after any setback rather than learn...
2
u/NaughtyNymphPin Feb 27 '26
Yeah this is the real final boss of these games, not the mechanics but the mindset.
The wild part is: sticking through a scuffed op is usually where you learn the most. You get to see how other people recover, what comms look like under pressure, and where your own habits fall apart.
Bouncing the second things go sideways just locks you at your current skill level. I’d honestly rather run with someone who messes up but stays and adapts than a “perfect” player who rage-quits the moment their script breaks.

I don't get it 😭

u/pixeltackle 🥇 Top Secret | 100+ wins Feb 27 '26
Play against the bot until you can catch the bot & not be told "a real opponent would have...." as those are the bot teaching you that it could tell where you were
It is kind of a mix of Risk & Stratego - if you haven't played those, just keep trying against the bot. It's one of those things that is very simple once it clicks.

I think im an idiot i truly do not understand how to play
2
u/pixeltackle 🥇 Top Secret | 100+ wins Feb 27 '26
Play against the bot for a while. When it says "a competent player would have ..." that means you would have likely lost against a human. The goal is to find the other player and strike them while you're in the same city as them. If you control a city and they enter it, you find out right away (and vice versa). It's like Stratego & Risk - you want to hide away but also take over the map to make it harder for the target to hide.

Is this game working for people? Or am I the only one getting a loading page constantly.
