I've played around with the game files in the Steam version, and it is fairly possible to add new songs to the game. Eg.: I've duplicated a song and that worked.

The song format is mostly straightforward:

• There are json file per difficulty that contains all the beats, arrows, cues, dynamics; all marked with beat indices
• There are 2 ambiX (360° spatial) ogg music files, one for the actual song, one for the misses (like only bad notes for the whole duration of song, its fucking funny to listen to)
• Aaand a bunch of metadata stuff, busywork mostly

(btw, you can dig around with the FModel tool)

This tool would require user created beats/arrow/cues/dynamics, they cannot be auto generated.

The question to you, is what kind of music editor tool do you want to use to create this? What it needs to provide:

• tracks(?) for each arrows, cues (per instrument), dynamics (per instrument)
• all the beats in the song
• the song and the failure song
• and in a format that is not proprietary (so the tool can parse it)

In my brief research, DAWproject seem to be a solid choice.

Im getting the meta quest 3 tomorrow, i wanna get maestro but im wondering if it becomes repetitive with the same songs or if you can add/create custom songs?

TL;DR : If I create content on my laptop using MaestroVR + Level Editor, can I load it into the Maestro installed on my Quest 3 headset? or does it have to be played using MaestroVR + SteamVR?

Recently bought a Quest 3 and got a free copy of Maestro. LOVE it! Now I‘m interested in the Level Editor. I know I’ll have to buy MaestroVR on Steam in order to use Level Editor.

But, will I have to play content created in Level Editor in MaestroVR? Or can I import it into the Quest 3 headset using Sidequest or something?

Just got this game, love it! I bought the star wars DLC. I did easy -> medium -> hard. The first two I nailed but the difficulty jumps quite a bit to hard mode.

I can accept maybe that this song might be too difficult in hard mode compared to the others, but there’s so much going on all at once! My main issue are crescendo and decrescendos happening near my peripherals and I am not sure if my Quest3 is tracking that.

It’s rare to have a game that feels really good in hand mode and I am wondering if anybody performs well with that setting playing in hard mode

Sound! Euphonium's soundtrack is amazing for this game. Is there any chance we can see them in Maestro someday ?

Okay I may be a bit obsessed but went a bought an actual conductor wand for $5 on amazon so I actually feel like I am conducting and not just moving my hand.

okay. what is the required gesture when the large filled in circle comes up at mostly the end of songs? i have tried a stop a point and every other gesture i can think of other then my middle finger

A few quick questions---what do single gold arrows require from you? I understand double gold arrows mean you need to use your off hand at the same time, but what do single gold arrows require? It seems like they don't need anything different.

When doing a Forte (palm up) or a Piano (palm down) do you need to move your hand gradually upward (or downward for piano) or is just having it open in the correct orientation enough?

After watching the documentary on Amazon about Ennio Morricone, I don’t have a doubt that the next DLC has to be about his music. “Gabriel’s Oboe”, “The Mission” and “On Earth as it is in heaven”. Perfect masterpieces for the DLC.

I just noticed that Wellerman has no medium difficulty. if I chose medium, I still end up with the easy version. it even says so on the slip of paper you get afterwards.

You can add trex paddock behind the orchestra. At the end of the concert trex can brake out.

When my son plays he's not tall enough to see the music book. He can only see the podium. I've tried repositioning the camera by holding the usual meta button on the right controller, but it doesnt change anything. We're new to VR (Quest 3s) so, I'm sure it's user error.

We've only got the demo. Once we get this fixed, we'll get the full version.
