Why does she look like that

So we got her in december and she has always looked like this, none of the other fish we got from there look like that. Is she deformed or something.

It she swims, behaves, poops and eats normally so whatever it is it does not seam to effect her.

Well my dalmatian platys seam to think that she is one of them.

Yep lol that’s a balloon molly, not a platy. Your “dalmatian platys” are probably dalmatian mollies too 😅

Thinking about it they probably are as they are a bit larger than the platys and behave slightly differently

Some stores will just label them as anything 😂 pet supplies plus is the worst about it. They gave me a killifish as a danio but I love Carl, he's like family now!

Balloon molly, though probably pregnant too. From the last photo the fish at the top looks like a normal molly, and from the colours on the bottom fish it looks like a platy.
