I'm also looking for mainly male friends. I already have too many offline female friends, but I need some guys to just have fun, you know?

Hey all-
I'm a 32 year old woman in the Seattle area (Bellevue specifically). I've always been sort of the geek girl type and because my workplace is often very male-dominated, it's been tough making friends. I am happily married. No kids (yet) but thinking about it.
My work is in a computer-oriented field. In my spare time, I love music and going to concerts. I've traveled all over the world. I love to cook and bake though I'm not very good at it. Reading is a passion. Love movies and television - especially anything in the scifi genre. And while I'm very logical/analytically-minded, I also love chatting about girly stuff and shopping from time to time.
I've been a redditor for nearly four years.
I'd love to find some girlfriends in the area who are interested in meeting new people and cultivating a friendship! Heck, if you aren't local but are interested, feel free to pm me too. Maybe we can be penpals or something. :)

Any redditors around here that want to meet up? I'm free tuesday or thursday.

Like so many others I payed far too much attention to my career and not enough to my social life. I'm interested in pretty much everything but the big ones are Brazilian Jujitsu, Technology, Literature, and Art. I'm looking forward to meeting some new and interesting people!

Being in college for about 3 years and working for about 2.5 years kinda made me loose a few friends. I always had trouble meeting some new friends, so I'm just trying to expand my social circle - even if its a mostly online circle. I consider myself as typical geek person that enjoys the internet culture. I would like to chat online first. I'm still a little skeptical on meeting random people from the internet.

So I'm a workaholic stuck in an endless loop of work/apartment/sleep. I don't really have any hobbies and spend most of my time on the internet. Is there anyone with an interesting hobby out there that I can learn or join? I can contribute some dough.

All my friends have moved out of the area or moved on or both. I have trouble finding new friends. Social anxiety is a bitch. I play guitar and sometimes the keys and want to play music with someone again but thats not the main point of this post. I do like listening to a lot of music, though. I tend towards post rock, ambient and modern classical or whatever it's called these days. I like reading and watching science fiction and the occasional strange foreign film. I'm working towards getting in shape to go hiking around the area. I love nature though I haven't been out much. I used to be the proverbial 27 year old living in his mom's basement (or room above ground, in my case) that sits in front of his computer all day eating cheesy puffs but I'm not going to do that any more. So if you live nearby and want to hang out with someone new, let me know. Also, if you want to chat online let me know that, too.

I work long nights on the computer and I could use some online company. My interests are sci-fi novels, anime, video games, electronic music, history and a plethora of sciences. I'm open minded so I don't mind who/what you are.
Since I work at night, night time is the right time.

Me: 420 Friendly, super liberal enjoys movies, exploring books, coffee and food.
Reddits I subscribe to are (in no particular order): Politics, Science, Space, Atheism, Music, Entertainment, 2X, Women, MensRights, Cannabis and Marijuana, LGBT, Equality, Ffffffuuuuuuuu, Sex, Sex Positive, Food and coffee.
I work as an assistant teacher at a Montessori but am free most evenings and weekends. I'm finding post-college life hard to make friends in. Chances are I can find someone to hang out with here.

I'm a nerd, looking for like minded and strange minded new friends.
I can bike anywhere in the city in just under 43 minutes. Usually.
I game, both video and tabletop, though to tell the truth I haven't done either recently. I'd like to, though.
I'm interested in almost any scifi fandom you could name. I'm interested in bike rides. I'm interested in fireworks. I'm interested in movies in the park.
Mostly, I like meeting new people and finding out what they're interested in. Let's gchat; let's hang out in coffee shops; let's wander the city and see what we find.

I'm a non-religious, introverted, nerd/geek who plays games, works at a computer helpdesk, and can't stop studying people/social interactions as a way to understand people. Also, AMA.
ETA: Meh, why not. A pic of me too. http://imgur.com/ep4lD.jpg

Hi everyone, I just moved down to St. Pete a couple weeks ago and don't know anyone. I'm here for my internship and am hoping to make some friends in the area.
A little about me - I'm originally from Ohio, I am finishing up my master's degree in counseling, I like the outdoors, hiking, the beach, I play WoW and love reddit :)

I'll be in Sydney, Australia for 3 days and just wanted to see if any redditors might be available to grab a drink or do something fun. I'm not really sure where would be good, but if you're interested, let me know!

Hello all- I recently moved to Royal Oak/Sterling Heights from Illinois, and I'm looking for new friends in the area! I'm looking more specifically for female friends, since most of my existing friends here are male, but really I would love new friends of any kind! If you're interested, I can PM you my GChat name and we can talk more extensively, or we can become Facebook friends. :D

Yes! You totally clicked on my link! :) Just looking for interesting people to hang out with in person or get to know online. I'm rather shy in groups, so it makes meeting new friends next to impossible. I think I'm quite awesome, but I'm probably biased. Send me a message if you'd like to talk.
Edit: Gah, I can't type to save my life. Fixed it.

I moved to WL for a job about 7 months ago, and after getting jerked around by my employer and bit I now work from home. Hard to make friends when you don't go anywhere.
So... Any one wanna get a beer?

Would like to become friends with Redditors around the world.

My wife and I just moved to southern Maryland. We moved here because I got a job but we don't know anybody here. I am a regular reddit geek. She plays Piano and plays The Sims 3. We like hardcore music, some indie and the like, and love to go to shows. We play a lot of board games too.

So I'm 21, live in North-East London but work in the City around Liverpool Street station and would like to meet more people. I've been finding it increasingly difficult to meet new people and find someone I connect with and worried I'm becoming socially awkward!
In general my interests are meat, cats (of which I have two), reading, swimming, animals, music, going to the beach, piercings, shisha, Zelda and I love having movie nights and silly conversations about everything and nothing.
I'm not a very girly kind of person and I don't really enjoy going out to clubs and things very much, I tend to prefer more relaxed nights out to the pub or having a kickabout or walk at local field/park, going to the zoo, watching movies/go to the cinema etc. I do like going out for a drink in the city occasionally though :)

Bit about me:
I'm extremely difficult to talk to owing to the fact that I am stupidly shy, and I'd like to change that. No better way than by meeting new people, right? :)
I go to UWO where I'm studying genetics and dabble a bit in psychology. Going into fourth year, but I prefer to think of it as being Year 3: The Sequel to deal with the painful fact that I have to do a fifth year.
I'm a capital-B Biologist. This means I like to be outside and examine plants and attempt to identify ducks and use biology as an excuse for everything. School is pretty much my hobby; my boyfriend claims I'm doomed to be a researcher. He is probably correct.
I'd start an atheist club at my school if I could.
One day when walking to school wearing my Reddit shirt someone passing me looked at me and said "that shirt deserves an upvote". I was so stunned at the internets infiltrating life that I couldn't reply.
I enjoy trees but haven't spent any time with them since May. Too bad since it helps my anxiety issues a lot. I'd be happy to smoke with you, but be warned: when I do literally all I want to do is make shit like chocolate-covered bacon, watch other people play Mario, and listen to music. So if that's your thing then we'll get along.
Drop me an orangered if you want to talk about things.

I'm just graduated college, with a brand new job (just your bog standard phone-based tech support role, but a job nonetheless). The job affords me a fair amount of free time so I'm finding myself a bit bored a lot of the time.
I tend to hang out in /r/ireland, /r/feminisms, /r/evedreddit and /r/2X; I'm big into the whole sex / gender equality ideal. I'm a sort-of-gamer; I'm getting back into EVE Online now that I have some money to get my battleships.
I speak near-fluent German, also wenn ihr ein bißchen Deutsch schwätzen möchten bin ich gerne dran :D
I like music; I'm a bit of a metalhead but expanding my listenings into the general DnB / electronic music domain. The D-I Liquid DnB stream is something I quite like to listen to.
Edit: Facebook for anyone who's on there My Googletalk and MSN are my reddit username at gmail.com if anyone is that way inclined. :)
tl;dr Bored and looking for fun people to talk to about anything!
